I put down $100 for incidentals. We purchased 2 drinks at the bar. Reviewed our bill and was furious. A 7.33 tourism fee was charged and a $25 resort fee was charged. The 2 drinks were $20. All in all the resort charged us $54.44. I was blind sided by the add on to our far bill. Is this how you treat your guests.?
Old time decor and a fun destination. The on site restaurant and bar was really good. My only issue, which is always my issue, it was expensive, but in this case it was worth it.
Wonderfully unique hotel that you should not miss. It is old - this must be understood of course. Food is superb. Ambience/Attitude are rare! Complimentary tea & scones, and welcome cream sherry in crystal decanter…

Disliked: Staff & service
It was a beautiful place but we were treated like white trash being that we rode in on Harley Davidsons. Door man yelled at us as we pulled into the reservation spots that “ you cant park there”. We were like well we do have reservations. He crawfished real quick. Food is ridiculously priced. Breakfast burritos are $25 a piece. Last but not least while out on the patio enjoying one of their $20 mix drinks( Tito’s & cranberry) we were reprimanded 2/3 times to stop smoking cigarettes. NONE IF US WERE SMOKING!! So if you ride motorcycles & have Tatoos I highly recommend staying else where!
Rustic property that was quiet and relaxing. The back lawn was beautiful and we appreciated that there was corn hole to play. They serve tea and scone before the dinner hour and the restaurant had great food. All employees were friendly and helpful.
I little disappointed. We had dinner at the property, looks like everybody is busy because of the wedding. Ordered dinner and my sister found a piece of plastic on her vegetable. Up the hotel room, not even a soap to wash our hands. What do they expect wash our hands with body wash in the bathroom? Not even a small toiletries for their guest? And when we check out and asked the lady on the front desk, about why they don’t have at least a bar of soap to wash our hands with. She said they were out of stock. Just disappointed.
We loved everything about the bimbo historic Inn. The ambience is amazing. The only thing we truly hated, and it might prevent us from coming back is the discomfort of the bed. We had a queen size, and it appeared to be a spring mattress versus the newer foam style, we found it to be extremely uncomfortable
People were nice but the room bed was rough. They never came and filled our shampoo or soap even though they said try would for a 3 day stay.
I would go to Garberville instead and stay there plus they have more food options as well.
Classic inn with outdoor patio for dining or sipping a glass beside a fire pit. Staff are friendly and efficient (except the scones at High Tea were slow to arrive and gone in a flash...).
Beautiful inn. Lots of little issues impacted our enjoyment however. Arrived at 340 but didn’t get into our room until 530 because they forgot to call us when the room was ready! (The new receptionist was very friendly when he found out)
At check out they charged us again for taxes when our pre-payment included the taxes. They were reluctant to remove it.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
It’s a very dated property in need of much care. Price is not reflected by condition of hotel and rooms.
What an amazing hotel! We want to come back in the summer months to enjoy the ambiance, scenery & staff! If you love history & service, this is a must see.
Room cleanup and daily clean didnt happen unless we chased them, TV and lightbulbs not working and an ant infestation.. not the best of stays.. hotel and restaurant were good
