Pros: I arrived around 7:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite (maybe because the executive lounge was closed). Check-in was smooth, and I appreciated the complimentary drink from the snack bar. The suite was beautiful, spacious, well laid out, and luxurious without feeling excessive, with a half bath, full bath, and great separation between living and sleeping areas. Parking was easy with convenient underground access, and the staff were friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. Cons: The hotel appeared short-staffed, with room service ending at 4 p.m. and limited in-room support. Breakfast took longer due to staffing, and while I appreciated being able to order ahead and pick it up, room delivery required an added fee, which felt unnecessary. There were also small but noticeable gaps, such as limited cutlery and no champagne glasses at the bar on New Year’s Eve. The main bathroom could use an update, and the pillows were very flat, requiring multiple to be comfortable.

The suite I upgraded to failed to provide essential amenities, including functional smart-TV connectivity. Staff acknowledged this as a known issue. Guest services was unreachable, cleanliness standards were compromised, and management responses were dismissive and inconsistent. A manager on duty denied my refund using shifting explanations. Her conduct lacked professionalism, empathy, and accountability. The emotional impact on my fourteen-year-old son was significant. The safety risks we encountered while exiting the property and the forced late-night drive home further compound this failure.
