Fabulous hotel in a perfect location, close to transport links. We stayed for 3 nights and everything was great! All the staff were friendly, my room was clean and the bed bed super comfy! No complaints at all, would highly recommend 😃

Well located in the center area, next door to a Metro station, several convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Room was very spacious and very quiet. Only downside was the lack of wardrobe in the bedroom and the very limited options of room service (basically options of pizza and very few others non-pizza)

Overall, the Catalonia Berlin Mitte is a great hotel, but my most recent stay there was spoiled by the fact that they closed their restaurant on the Saturday night to all guests because they had catered for a large coach party of elderly people. The restaurant is advertised as being open from 12pm to 10pm so when I went down to grab a burger and beer at 9pm, I expected to be able to eat. However, the barman told me in a very abrupt manner that the kitchen was closed because of the large party. There was no advance warning of this from hotel staff and due to the time of night, almost all other eating establishments in the immediate vicinity were either fully booked or closing. There was no signage, just a curt and sullen reply that there was nothing they could do. As such, I was unable to get a meal until breakfast the next morning.

This is a great hotel but it’s really disappointing to book a superior double room at extra cost, only to find that it has 2 single beds side by side in it. When I asked for a double I was told that there were none available. Everything else was good but please don’t advertise a twin room as a superior double
