Great location lovely surroundings. I feel the property needs a bit of a revamp. Penguin viewing was a bit disappointing. We are not allowed on the beach after dark which we were not advised when booking accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The views are stunning. You can hear the waves, see some wildlife. It was a great base for us to visit surrounding places with a comfy bed & spa bath to return from our adventures. Great facilities to cook up a meal & relax in the lounge room. We’ll be back!

No restaurant so had to go back into town, which is a drive, for breakfast. Did have cooking facilities but not worth it for one night. Other than that access to own beach was wonderful and rooms were neat, clean and well maintained.

Property is a hidden gem, rooms not the most modern but very spacious & clean. Lady at check in (Jenny) was lovely & very helpful. Bonus was that we got to see some penguins at night as well, Oliver & Alexandria were wonderful hosts to take us down to see the Penguins.

Beautiful beachside comfort

Incredible location - looks out to sea, close access to a superb beach. Kids loved the sheep paddock next door, rabbits marauding on the lawn and the little penguins did not disappoint. Gorgeous bedding, and bedrooms have great light. Not ideal with small children - there is a long flight of stairs to the upstairs bedroom, the front door slams with great force. Limited groceries available in Bicheno, but the Lobster Shack took good care of us.

Great way to see the penguins at night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in a breeze. The apartment was just beautiful. Could do with another washing machine on the grounds though- it was always very busy!
