Location was adjacent to Rio Nervion and the pedestrian bridge for quick access into Bilbao. We arrived early from an overnight flight from the U.S., and the front desk staff were able to accommodate us with an upgrade (small fee) to a larger suite so we could get some sleep! Room was well appointed and the breakfast was very nice.

Overall I would say the stay was just average and acceptable. I don’t think it is quite worth the price and we were underwhelmed by the general standard of all facilities. The room was tired, the black out curtain ripped and hanging off, black mould on the window surround. The bathroom was dark and dated also. Breakfast was underwhelming, a big choice but not of a very high quality or anything particularly special. Staff friendly, room quiet and comfortable. Check in slow. Well located for Guggenheim and walkable to old town.

Great location but room a bit tight

The room type I stayed in was very cozy. I would only recommend it for solo travel as space was tight. There wasn't any space on the floor to open my medium hard-side luggage. I had it set on the cushioned bench as that was the only area other than the bed which I could open my suitcase. The room is comfortable though showing some signs of age and wear and tear. I did notice it was quite dusty when I first entered and I found a dead insect on the washroom floor (it blended in with the dark tiles). Other than that, I had a nice stay here. The lobby offers water and some candies to all guests at the entrance. The area is nice and quiet. Bilbao is very walkable and I would say this hotel is well-situated right in the middle of everything. It's about a 15-minute walk to the Guggenheim (also the meeting spot for some guided day trips/ tours) and just a slightly longer walk to Casco Viejo (old town). Overall, it was good stay for solo travel.
