Booked 6 months in advance. Checked in and hotel is fine, clean etc. Room was stiflingly warm and stuffy. The room was situated with a window that you could step in and out onto a courtyard. The only way to cool the room was to leave the window open which would allow any stranger to walk into the room. No Air Condition in room. Let the staff know the next day that the evening was unpleasantly hot w/o air conditioning and being unable to open the window for air or allow potential strangers to step into the room. Man on phone at front desk said the window would only be accessible to staff or other people staying there, therefore it’s fine. I said, I don’t know you or the other guests here and at that point he hung up on me. Problem needs to be address. Install a lock that allows the window to be cracked open without being able to be pulled open to let anyone step in. Would not stay there again. Sorry to report but be sure to ask that you not be on second floor with a window accessible to strangers if you need fresh air on a warmer summer night.

Rooms with an outdoor bamboo carpet?

Friendly staff but the rooms had an outdoor type of bamboo carpet in the hotel that was great on the feet. Hotel was hot and wasn't air-conditioned. If you opened the windows to cool down their was a lot of street noise.

From the moment we walked into our room, we felt a sense of calm — the view over the harbor was utterly serene, and everything was impeccably clean. It was the perfect place to unwind. I’d read countless reviews raving about the breakfast and honestly thought it couldn’t possibly live up to the hype… but it exceeded every expectation. I still find myself missing it! While everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming, the breakfast staff truly stood out — their warmth and attentiveness made our stay all the more memorable. A truly special experience from start to finish.

Perryville House is perfectly positioned in the food capital of Kinsale. Additional highlights include the bedding, the towel warmers, the quietness, and the parking. But what sets this hotel apart from all the rest is the warmth and kindness of the people. Worth every penny.

First class hotel. It was the best stay of our 2 week trip. Beautiful, friendly, great location, great staff and so helpful. Breakfast was superb! Would highly recommend this for a little splurge .

Classy and Elegant Hotel

The property and amenities are top notch. Great location, delicious breakfasts. Attentive staff. We did have a problem however with one one of the properties policies. We had friends staying at a property next door who we invited over to join us for a drink at the hotel’s bar. When we informed the staff that our friends were going to join us for a drink we were told that only the hotel’s registered guests could order a drink there. This is a paid bar mind you, not complimentary drinks! I thought I must have mis-heard, so asked again whether our friends could join us. I was told sorry, but no. The most ridiculous hotel policy I’ve ever experienced. So despite this being a very nice hotel, we would not stay again.
