The service was great but the property is in poor condition. Stayed there around Covid time period and just figured repairs and updates were just delayed. But I was was disappointed that it was the same.

This hotel was absolutely awful and should be condemned. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the hall carpets were duct-taped down over raised areas—huge tripping hazard. The bathroom had exposed wall possibly filled with black mold. The entire place smelled—smoky in the lobby like a 1960s bowling alley, and like mildew on the guest floor. Our room was dirty, with debris under the beds and mismatched, garage-sale-looking furniture. The balcony still had last fall’s leaves—clearly untouched for months. The bathroom reeked of urine, the TV was covered in a mystery substance, and there was a trash bag left by the ice machine the whole time we were there. The front exterior trash bin was overflowing for days. Desk staff were absent or unhelpful, and no one warned about the soaked laminate floors from the pool—total slip hazard. The “breakfast” was nonexistent—no food, no explanation. For $180 a night, this place was a complete disgrace. I filed a complaint with the City of Boise because it’s that bad. Do not stay here.

Tv was new but not hooked up correctly so it wouldn’t work. The hallway carpet is duct taped and has large wrinkles to trip over. Breakfast was canceled and they charge 7.00 . Beds were not queen but doubles. Room was clean but has holes in walls doors looked to have been kicked in. No phones in room, so have to walk to the front desk to ask questions. Front desk people were very nice.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I will never go to another Red Lion again because of it. The pictures on the listing were probably taken 20 years ago because this place was like traveling back in time.Everything was so OLD and so DIRTY. We checked in about 6/7pm at night and there was only one staff member working the entire hotel. There was a huge line to check-in and it took forever because there was only one lady manning the desk. One person behind us said they just checked in, went to their room, and there was poop in the toilet! That was not a great first impression. Our room was dirty, the shower had hair all over it, there was a k-cup still in the coffee pot from the previous guest, the floor was swept but the pile was still there. If you tried to sit up in the bed to watch TV or something, you couldn’t because the bed rolled out and away from the wall. No AC, no bathroom fan, and no view. The balcony window screen was also damaged. There was an armchair in the corner that was FILTHY with visible stains. I felt so dirty being there and it was so uncomfortable. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Worse check in experience, then 30 minutes later had a woman frantically knocking on my door, when I answered she was basically screaming “what are you doing in this room? You are not meant to be here. You are going to have to come downstairs now to sort this out!!” After back and forth saying, the reason that I was in this room is because that is what they had given me when I checked, she just continued yelling at me telling me I was not supposed to be in that room. Finally went downstairs to sort it out (was in right room, nothing changed) Thermostat broken so couldn’t adjust temperature in room, missing tiles around bath tub and a very suspicious looking pair of underwear left hanging in the bathroom when I checked in If you get a cheap deal then stay there if not getting room at bargain price steer clear

The original person who helped me check in was excellent. I think she was a manager. However, her relief was a disaster. Cancelling one of my three reservations because of overbooking. She had zero customer service skills and made it impossible to do business with. I ended up leaving and booked a different hotel. Also, the property is falling apart and I don't think they plan on fixing anything. The jets in hot tub didn't work. Kids playing in hot tub.

Horrible for the price they charge. Outdated, old and musty smells. Hot tub was dirty, the water was cold and the jets didn't work. No pool towels were available for use. Carpet was buckled in many areas causing a tripping hazard and the carpet was duck taped in the bar area. Several burnt out lights in our room. TV remote would not work unless you were standing in front of the TV. Return air vent had at least 1/4 inch of dust. Had a balcony room, but we couldn't get the screen to slide open. Will not return.

Don’t believe the pictures.

Hallway carpet is way dirty and taped together with wrinkles all over. Several doors had marks from people trying to break in with a hammer or something. The holes in the doors were covered with tape. Hair on the bed, tv didn’t work, fridge hasn’t been cleaned, dirty soap in the shower, patio door wouldn’t lock. It was just gross. E we won’t be back.

The pictures online are a bit misleading. The hotel is very run down. The staff were nice and kind. We were on the second floor and the carpet was duck taped to patch it. A door was busted in and several doors were left open. Trashbags were left outside of doors. The outside door leading an exit only had cardboard to keep it propped open during the day. The room itself was semi clean. Someone scribbled the letter b in the closet several times. The room was quiet and it did not have carpet thank goodness. It is close to downtown, only about 8 blocks from everything so that was a plus. Overall, we would not stay here again, but the location is decent if that’s all you care about.

It was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The property is old and not well kept up. the hallway carpet was literally held together with duct tape. Dingy and frayed at the edges are good descriptors.

The shower didn’t drain so water pooled. The ac didn’t work well. I slept without blankets and was very warm and sweating through the night. The lobby was 20 degrees cooler than the room.
