Hôtel Normandie was a great hotel! It offered comfortable accommodations with warm and helpful staff. The best part: its location. Not only is it across the street from a tram station/hub and the tourism office, it’s in the heart of the liveliest part of town. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again without hesitation!

A stopover in the centre of town. The alleged 4 star hotel had NO bar and NO restaurant, and this was not made clear on the hotel write up. A great location so a real shame.

I love this place

The Normandie hits all the right notes. It overlooks Bordeaux's streetcar hub and the Girond Estuary, is adjacent to the jardin public and the head of Rue Sainte Catherine, and is equidistant to the funky dining neighborhoods of The Chartrons and Saint-Pierre. The Bar a Vins, sponsored by the Bordeaux wind industry, is next door. Can't be beat.

The hotel staff is very friendly and the property is very clean and well kempt. The breakfast is good and with enough variety to choose. The location is close to the Opera House and Quinconces Park, there is good tram connections or you can walk to most attractions
