We loved our stay here! I stayed a night here with some friends for my birthday and enjoyed it so much. The hotel is so historic and kept up so well. It’s in a very convenient location which made getting around Boston easy, including the airport. My favorite part was the customer service from the staff. Everyone was SO amazing and welcoming. I have to give a shout out to Mehidy - he went out of his way to get some cake for us when he overheard us commenting how we want some. He took some time after to share with us more the history of the hotel and even offered to give us a tour. Unfortunately we couldn’t take the tour because we had to leave for our flight, but the offer and attention to caring for us was appreciated and noticed. The staff also worked with my friends to surprise me with some complimentary cake (their iconic Boston cream pie)! For my birthday too. This was an amazing stay at a gorgeous property and I hope to visit again soon!

Historical and nice

Great location, very nice ambiance. It was noisy as my room was above the ballroom and there was a loud wedding when I was trying to sleep. Also, someone pulled the fire alarm so we all had to go downstairs in our jammies at 1 AM, and I had to get up at 5 AM for my tour. But I would stay there again. Read about the history of the hotel - fascinating!

The overall stay was good. Check-in was a breeze. The room was clean. Due to the age of the hotel, the rooms were a little small, but the renovations have brought everything else up to date. The breakfast for a fee, had great options. The only problem happened late on our last night when the fire alarm went off and we were instructed to evacuate the rooms and head down the stairs. As soon as we got to the first floor we were informed that it was a false alarm and that we could head back up. Check out the next morning was easy, although we were very tired.

This was a beautiful property. It was very historic. The design ,the cleanliness was all above average. It’s located right on the freedom Trail. I would highly recommend.
