Lovely little hotel, right across from the Boston Public Library. The only noise I heard was from the cafe above at closing (I was in a room below it.) very clean, very friendly staff, close to everything, and honestly the coffee they served was the best I’ve ever had.
The shower would literally just stop randomly, pretty much the worst thing after running the marathon!
The bed was uncomfortable and slanted (and insanely small).
The restaurant (which I was suppose to get a discount and didn't) had very bad service, and I quote 'there are mad people waiting' when I asked to sit at an open table but was told I can't as I was a single and they wanted to wait for a party of 4..
Was told I would get breakfast and coffee but when I went down it was empty and no breakfast was out because of the event out front.
I know it's their busiest weekend (marathon) but charging the insane amount they did and the service I got, definitely not worth it.
Final note, it's not 'boutique' to keep using keys, it's a pain in the ass. Get with the times
A central location and next to Copley Subway so easy for transport (use a Charlie Card). Hotel staff friendly, used restaurant over week and 20% discount helpful, quality food. Be aware everything shuts down around 9.15pm so early booking recommended. Breakfast coffee and tea croissant or fruit. Would return.
A really quaint hotel. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. It’s located in a great area that’s near just about everything. I enjoyed my stay. Than you Charlesmark.

Well, there was an insane amount of scaffolding put up right in front of the hotel because of the Boston Marathon. But that is not their fault. Had a great day at the hotel.
Terrible! Loudest hotel - not only noises above, below & thru adjoining walls but the construction of marathon scaffolding a few feet from our window starting near 6am, continuing every day until 7pm (even on Sunday). This would have been ok if they’d notified us that the noise was going to penetrate the room all day long, but they did not. No breakfast as advertised, unless that’s a 2 inch croissant tossed on a napkin with lukewarm coffee in paper cup. The stated parking rate at 100 Clarendon was also incorrect, which of course we didn’t know till we were already leaving the lot. There was no place to pull in front (as we’d been directed to drop luggage) due to marathon construction and construction/police cars blocking the ‘spot.’ Huge disappointment all around. The topper was in morning when ordering a hot chocolate for my son - who had not slept all night due to noise from adjoining room- and the person working at counter didn’t greet us or say good morning, but simply said ‘You have to pay for that’- as though we were not planning to pay nor afford a cup of hot chocolate. Such a bizarre thing to say to a hotel guest. We should have walked away but our time was short and didn’t want the hassle.
