The staff was good overall, but the noise level no matter which floor you get will be very loud at night especially on the weekends. You will feel like you are inside of the club downstairs and it’s not ideal for a vacation. We complained on our last night and did get upgraded, it unfortunately didn’t make a difference

Let's start with the good: The hotel was very nice. We saw a show down the street and dinner right around the corner. It was in a perfect spot. We loved the location and since we took the T in from Quincy, it was easy to get here. We only stayed for the one night. Hotel staff were very friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had a good time at the hotel bar. Now the not-so-good: I have 2 complaints and neither one are the hotel's fault: the hotel sits on top of the orange line. You will feel and hear it every time a train passes under you. We were on the 2nd floor and it was very noticeable. It may be less noticeable on higher floors. The other complaint is about the current state of the entire downtown crossing area. There was a lot of noise, music, yelling, cursing, horns, sirens well into the morning. It was difficult to sleep. We have spent many 1-night stays in Boston and we've noticed that higher floors tend to be quieter. Again - not the fault of the hotel. If you're a light sleeper, I'd strongly recommend earplugs.
