The bed vase was dirty with brown stain on it and mattress to the picture frames had dust like u wouldn’t believe
Mirrors clean and bathroom there was a cig burn in carpet and the radiator control on side was blackish and there were food and crumbs under bef
Rooms need updating, lift hasn’t worked since last year, food and bar service non existent.

Booked a deluxe room, however we had a few problems. No remote control for the tv, wardrobe cracked and broken with tape on, the bathroom smelled of drainage, our main light flickered the whole time so had to use the lamp instead. Common areas in hotel were lovely, breakfast was the worst I’ve had for years! Think cheesestrings, awful coffee and packets of breakfast bars/pot of make your own porridge!
Late check out was great.
Room was spotless and beds were comfortable. For the price it was ok. Bathroom tired needed an update- definitely not a deluxe room! Free parking was great. I would stay here again for the price!

Location and exterior are very nice. Beautiful fields nearby as well as the garden centre which has everything. Alpaca farm and off-road track across the road. The building itself is very attractive from the outside. Inside is okay. Staff was quite friendly. Hotel has decent facilities- including hotel and shisha bar if I’m not mistaken. Parking facilities are decent and good Wi-Fi.
Negatives: rooms require thorough cleaning from time to time. Quite dusty, the lamps in particular- my T-shirt brushed onto one and was covered in dust. Squeaky bed but decently comfy. The wardrobe was weird- hangers were locked onto the bar but we’re all on the right segment for some reason..
Overall was decent but price didn’t match the standard of the rooms.
For the most part our stay was pretty poor. When we booked, our itinerary included breakfast. When we went to check in apparently we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 each. I went to check my booking and showed them so they did give us breakfast. However the 2nd morning of our stay we were told again we were not on the list for breakfast despite being told it had been sorted. The food however wasn't nice at all, the meat was full of gristle and bland, the bacon felt like cardboard. The service was extremely slow, when we had food at the steakhouse barely any staff were present and when we had finished we were waiting for ages to pay as we weren't told whether we had to pay at the bar or whether they would come to us. So we eventually went to the bar but just getting served to pay the bill at the bar was extremely slow. Room looked nice, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the WiFi was awful and kept dipping out. For around £200 for 2 nights it wasn't worth the price at all. I have stayed at cheaper places that provided better service, food and facilities. I think if they improve these things it has the potential to be a nice hotel, but we will not be returning.
When we arrived we were told we hadn’t a reservation even showing my confirmation email adamant no room, no apologies didn’t seem bothered we explained we were here for our nephews wedding we needed somewhere to get changed ended up changing in the car. After some deliberation they eventually found us a room tried to charge us additional money I said I wasn’t paying any more money, which I didn’t ! We had no choice but to accept the room as it was bank holiday all hotels were fully booked we were attending a wedding at the same hotel. The room was next to a function room and was extremely noisy till the small hours. I won’t be staying here again.
Cancelled my stay without any notification and was not offered any alternative options or any support to me checked in somewhere else. Very rude staff and unwilling to help would not recommend staying here.
Every thing was fine. The suite was more accommodating than I hoped and comfortable. The hot water took forever to come on and there wasn't enough snack for the number of guests. It was a room paid for 4 people and yet only 2 mugs were provided. Apart from those 2 issues, it was a good stay. The hotel was quiet as well and enough parking space.
