bad experience
Should have read the reviews before booking, I experienced most of the negative comments i read in the reviews including unfriendly and unhelpful staff ( rarely someone at reception even at advertised times), penny pinching and hidden costs ( had to pay for sheets and pillow cases and buy our own toilet roll) no parking, an advertised pool that shut at at 6pm, a broken Jacuzzi.

Linen not included had to pay extra, had to leave a large deposit. Reception barely open, and contact number never answered or responded.
Property not very clean on arrival, but for the price the property was pretty good. Pool opening times not convenient for use in conjunction with skiing!
Appt needed sweeping on arrival. Severe black mold on bathroom tiles - They might notice that I eradicated it for them before leaving. Instructed to download and print the pre-filled check-in form I duly did so - they didn't want it. They wanted the same info (except emergency contact) on a different check in form on arrival. No mention anywhere that towels and bed sheets are charged extra - they didn't even ask if I wanted them on my arrival. Reception hours are completely different from those published via Expedia so they were closed when I returned to ask about sheets. Ski locker didn't open with door key (as they are meant to) - no solution offered just a shrug from reception. Public areas are not effectively cleaned. One of two lifts broken on arrival - fixed but broken again by end of week. No onsite staff to deal with late-night rowdy residents. Generally a very badly managed accommodation which could be so good with some actual effort. I won't be returning.

Very basic accommodation. No actual bed in the apartment only sofa beds which are not real beds or as comfortable. No toilet paper, no towels or sheets unless you pay extra or bring your own. Also you have to clean the apartment or lose your large deposit. No reception apart from limited hours. Reception staff are pleasant. Also limited parking. Would not return to this residence as I like sleeping in a proper bed.
We thought this place had hotel facilities but it was more a self catering back packers. For 350 pounds we were “treated” to bunk beds with uncomfortable foam mattresses, had to ask for bedding! No duvet just sheets provided. Pillows in the room were old and stained and lumpy and to add insult to injury we had to pay an additional 200 pounds holding deposit and had to make sure the grotty room was in tip top shape before we left. (We pray we get this back) The pool was closed and on site restaurant never open. Very disappointed....
Great location. Clean rooms with kitchen and private bath. Quick walk to shuttle and not too bad of a walk to gondola.
Please note that reception closes between 2 and 5. Sheets, towels, remote, WiFi extra, Daybed a bit uncomfortable but overall very happy with our stay.
Very nice stay at cybelles the room was very confortable with lots of space and was in a very good condition. And I would like to say thank for the staff that was always very helpful.
We were expecting a separate bedroom but as we were only 3 & all family, it was fine. The room was clean with everything you needed to do basic self catering.
The cable car to Meribel was a few mins walk away but there was a free shuttle bus, if you wanted.
Bonus was that we could buy fresh bread every morning in the lobby, which was great.
The only down side was the state of the swimming pool changing rooms, the floors were dirty & didn't want us to go, although once into the swimming pool area, it was fine - take flip flops.
There's a little Spar down the road & plenty of bars & restaurants in the area.
Very very good value! Highly recommend. Lovely little village only a 5 minute walk to the gondola that takes you to the main lifts.

Good size but dusty and broken fixtures
Apartment was very big. We had a 1 bedroom with alcove. It stated it slept 8, which it could do but there was only one toilet so not sure how comfortable it would be for 8. There were 4 of us. The apartment was effectively 2 bedrooms - 1 of them having no windows so they did not advertise as 2.
Apartment was very dusty and had many many cobwebs. There were a couple of broken lights and both showers were broken. We complained within 24 hours of arrival. The day later we had to remind them and then they sent someone. He fixed one shower and then used gaffer tape to fix the other!! The lights were not fixed and they did not apologise for the poor cleaning or even help to clean. We did this ourselves.
The Hotel is pretty dated. The shower and bed were broken. You need a car really as it's on the edge of town. You have to pay for WiFi and the TV!
Cheap and OK for a few days.

Great budget accomodation with no frills.
Great place to stay if you are on a budget. Its convenient to the shops, restaurants and ski lift. Accomodation is cheap and basic, but has all the things you need if you are skiing all day. Reception times are odd, but they are really helpful. One area to be improved is the reception toliets. Not good. We have been on 2 occasions and are planning to go back next year. Its a fairly quiet place, although it really depends on who you have next door.

Good value standard ski accommodation
Second stay at residence after about 7 years. Staff were efficient and courteous. I knew about charges for parking, linen and TV, and no WiFi for rooms. This is not a conventional hotel, it is standard skiing self-catering accommodation, so take your own sheets, towels, pillow cases and pillows (as the pillows provided are square) if you do not wish to pay the extra charge. Cleaning equipment is provided, but you will need sponges, detergent and dishwasher tablets. If using lift to Merribel, pay for boot locker and ski storage for an easy life.

Good hotel for the price
Hotel was well priced and free shuttle to the gondola to the Meribel. Great place for ski trip
Considering the room was so cheap for 1 weeks stay skiing I really didn't expect much when arriving, but the rooms are very nice and clean with excellent cooking facilities. Perfect for skiing. The free shuttle service to the ski lift is ideal and the lift takes around 25 mins to arrive at meribel. Well worth the journey considering price differences. Only downsides are only bunk beds and sofa beds in bedroom, and that it is very daunting with the charge list, i.e room cleaning, or breakages. But if you are prepared to take your own sheets and clean the room you cannot fault this hotel was very comfy. Would stay again!
We stayed at Residence Cybele, Brides Le Bains, for five nights on a budget ski trip from the UK. Owing to flight arrival times, we arrived in the middle of the night. I had contacted the staff before arrival and the reception team were very helpful and efficient. They left the apartment keys in an overnight security box for collection. The apartment was well kept and clean, with all the required facilities. Bedding and towels were provided for our booking which was helpful. We had a hire car, so parking inside the multi storey car park at a cost 12Euro for the five days made sense. Worth it. We drove to the slopes each day (approx 20 mins to La Tania) and did not use the ski 'bubble' form the centre of the town, about ten mins walk away. We did not use any of the hotel facilities. Staff (Melissa) were attentive, helpful and friendly. Overall, a good experience.
No wifi in the rooms. A lot of extra charges, wifi, parking, towels, bed linen etc. You are supposed to get a free sauna session per room per week, but that is only until 16 o'clock when everyone is still on the ski slopes. Otherwise, it costs 8 EURO per session and is only open until 18.45. Room and kitchen were good though, no complaints, except for some prefer double beds, rather than 4 singles.
Slightly surprised by the lack of a double, or even even a twin Bed - the Sofa bed made up into two separate beds at different levels (and with blankets sadly, not a quilt)!
Apart from that the Hotel was fine. The Staff were helpful, and the baker setting up stall in the reception every mornign is a really nice feature. The gondola to Meribel is close enough to walk, although there is free shuttle run by the Hotel
Watch the extras - parking+, sheets+, towels+, cleaning+, sauna+ - at least teh swimming pool was included, and great for the smaller person!
Eating in Bride-Les-Bains is OK - there are probably 4-6 decent restaurants, so OK for a week, and some are even open at 6pm! (This is France ;-)...).
They change you for everything. Bed set, towels, cleaning at the end of your stay and French taxes will cost you extra money. But this people provide you with terrible service if at all. Right from our arrival the old lady at the front gave us her bad attitude. She said the bed set is not included in the price and charge us for three sets of bed sheets, pillow cases and towels 50.00 Euro ($67.00). No daily cleaning or bed set and towels changes during our entire stay. During our check out same lady with the same terrible attitude told as to bring bed sheets and towels downstairs at the front desk. Then she went up to check our room. When she came back she said that we didn’t clean our room and to clean the room it will cost us 55.00 Euro. I was asking politely why we should pay extra money besides we pay through Hotel.com but she covers her ears and ran to the back room screaming that she’ll charge my credit card. With no success get reason answer we were leaving the lobby when she came out and showed us middle finger. Then she called taxi agency and was trying to cancel our taxi reservation she previously made. I would rate this place as terrible I ever been. I’m not recommending this place to anyone.
We stayed here over Xmas on a family ski holiday . The residence was ideal, great door to door free service to the gondola and back each day ( which only takes 5 mins). The 20 min ride up and down to Meribel was no hassle, and until the last day (29th December) we didn't stand in a lift queue once.
Brides itself is a nice little town, reasonably priced restaurants and if you have a hire car, only 10 mins to a hyper market to stock up on food.
We would definitely do this again - all the ski advantages of the Three Valleys without the cost
