We thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at Ufford Park. We had two lovely evening meals in the restaurant and the self service breakfasts were good too. Our double room was warm and comfortable. Of course Ufford Park is primarily a golfing resort but we used it as our base to visit Sutton Hoo and Aldeburgh, and we spent a day shopping in Ipwich (not recommended) and Colchester (excellent).

A reasonable stay that matched the price we paid for the room. The hotel in general has good facilities but is in desperate need of a refresh. The food was by and large of a good standard but the biggest disappointment were the staff within the bar and restaurant. Despite there being numerous staff working at any time of the day the service was slow. There didn’t appear to be anyone taking charge and therefore breakfast was a clumsy affair with tables left unclean for far too long leaving guests with no option but to source their own crockery and cutlery. The replenishment of food stuffs for the breakfast buffet was also below standard.
