Told that Tesco vouchers had not been paid and we would have to pay for room so went somewhere else would like my money back as we did not stay. Property was damp smelling in reception and looked rundown and uncared for.
The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and was a king size instead of a double. The staff were so friendly and amenable, the only downside was if you want a lie in and you’ve ordered breakfast you won’t get one as breakfast is served between 7.30am till 8.30am also towels not big enough for a shower or bath

Two night stay - If you’re looking for somewhere to stay after walking the mountains then this is ok. If you want a comfortable stay I suggest you explore the other hotels in the area.
We had to wait to check in - one person was covering both the bar and the reception. Our room was spacious but like a fridge - we had to request an additional plug in heater. Had this not been provided it would have been a very unpleasant stay.
The bar was closed when we returned to the hotel at 8pm on the Sunday evening had we known we would have stayed out later it was like returning to the Marie Celeste
Even though we prepaid for our stay we were asked both on our arrival and when checking out to pay for our accommodation and breakfast. All in all not the best experience.

The web page states Free breakfast with every room type, but the confirmation was room only. When i asked about this i was told i had chosen this option. We were in room 38, in the roof. The room was cold on arrival, the heating was off , it never came on, but there was a small plug in heater. The window didn't close and the wind kept opening it. The lift was adjoined to the room so it made a terrible noise every time it was called. This room looks nothing like the images on Hotels.com
The bar area was nice with a good selection of drinks, and the Menu has nice options. The guys working there were nice. Parking opposite is free. I had to pay extra for breakfast. i feel i was mislead
A characterful historic hotel. Great food. Friendly service and quiet.

I'm sorry to say but didn't have a good experience. Fixtures and fittings were poor. TV didn't work much, poor signal. Latch on window broken. Curtains fell down so they moved us to another room. TV still didn't work that well. No heating only towel rail.
Room cold unable to fill the bath up as only the shower worked.
Would I stay there again no.
The staff was very friendly and took care of all of our needs. Location is great, the town is conveniently located to explore the mountains, the coast, and the castles. There are many dining and shopping options within walking distance and it's not too busy.
Clean room with ensuite facilities. Friendly staff at hotel. Good choice for breakfast (full Welsh+options). Excelent meals otherwise - good potions of all meals taken which were piping hot and freshly made - impressed! A bit out of the way but worth the effort.
Food options great all purchased meals excellent quality large portions. Breakfast included all items excellent and well presented.Staff helpful and effecient. Lovely setting. Quirky and original decor. Great to see 4 legged friends wellcomed 2 goldens having a whale of a time chilling with their owners
Room clean and comfortable lift to floors small but functional.Overall good value for money. Breakfast and parking a big 👍
We stayed 2 nights to attend a wedding. The staff were helpful and friendly. The food was very good.

Lovely menu - particularly loved the Goat curry and my son wolfed down the ribs. Friendly staff. Only gripe would be that the showers were mounted way too low. I could only wash my hair by kneeling in the bath.

This property is in a good situation for easy access to lots of walks in surrounding area. Plus easy access to bus routes to Snowdon etc. the village is delightful. Will visit it again
Booked this hotel for a weekend due to location to Watkin Path. Staff so kind & helpful, Rooms clean & tidy with ensuite bathrooms including baths in two out of 3 rooms booked. Use of lift to rooms. Breakfast selection plentiful and hot, evening meals superb & well priced. Hotel also offers a cool room to store food & drinks for your climb, as well as offering a snack pack to buy for your day out. The Goat Hotel is based in Beddgelert & walking distance to amenities. We will definitely be booking for a return visit.
Very clean tidy and pleasant the only draw back they weren't serving meals whilst I was there . Beds very comfy! Breakfast very generous

My room here was nice & had a good peaceful sleep. But sorry to say that's the only positive from my stay.
I arrived to check in at the time stated on booking but cleaning was still in progress No sign of any other staff. A cleaner went to find someone & a lady arrived. Reception area seemed to be someone's office? I was given a key and told my room was on first floor. No information offered on arrival re. facilities and no guest information book in the room.
Lovely large bath towels provided but would be nice to have a smaller hand towel too? Also bath is a slip hazard due to overbath shower so please consider a non slip mat for the shower. I couldnt work out how to lock door when going out so had to leave unlocked!
I had no idea re. restaurant times as no information so took a gamble and went down 6.30pm. The place was deserted. I asked if food was being served and was given a table. I ordered my meal ..fish & chips .. was nice but nothing special. Im not sure but felt like it was more like a frozen supermarket meal & for the price charged was disappointing. I was the only one in the restaurant the whole time. I waited for someone to come to offer me a desert menu but the lady had gone again! so had to miss that. Went for breakfast but again absolutely deserted and no sign of any breakfast set up! Annoying as i had paid for a breakfast I decided to check out and leave. No one about again except a young man so i just gave key & left feeling hungry. Very disappointed.
