This was a good property for what we needed which was an overnight stay before catching an early boat in Calais. We didnt arrive until 1am but the owner was there to make sure we could check in quickly. We didnt have breakfast but it looked really nice.
First stay here the car park was so packed there was no parking to be had. No EV charging or disabled due to misuse by other guests. Room was very worn out and tatty.

Showing a lack of maintenance to the common areas and, despite having a restaurant, that was closed. Bedroom comfortable though and plenty of parking so still useful for an odd night in Calais.

The property in general could do with a makeover although the reception and dining area has already been renovated
Exterior needs a serious overhall.
Cigarette butts everywhere
Free onsite parking
Could hear the couple in room next to me talking and having sex
No toilet seat on toilet. Complained on Monday and told not sorted until Wednesday. I checked out Wednesday.
Nowhere to hang my clotges excrpt for 3 little pegs
I would not sray here agsin
The price and proximity to the feet make this a worth while option. However, although the receptionist was friendly and helpful, the room was not as clean as it should have been.

Friendly staff, accessible location NOT in the town centre so be prepared either to walk but bear in mind that all buses in Calais appear to be free ! Which we only worked out after a few days walking everywhere lols … It’s not the ritz but on par with French hotels at the same price point. There was a small bar and snacks to buy, but although it said it was a restaurant it didn’t have the vibe or look of it, and we didn’t see anyone eating dinner there, better to head to town. Calais is very cheap for eats and drinks, the beach is amazing, everywhere is clean, the parks and ambience are lovely, it’s overlooked and place to come but it recommended.

Listen: it’s cheap so you get what you pay for. It was a clean bed & the breakfast was good. It suited us as it was just a ‘bed for the night’ Staff were nice. No English TV channels.
We asked to be moved as the road and next room noise was unacceptable. We had an adjoining room even though we were not with another party. The room from next door went on all night. Also the road noise being on the ground floor front facing never stopped.
We have stayed several times in various campanile but this was by far the most disappointing. Never slept all night and had to leave at 5am so not good.
The condition of the room that we were allocated was below acceptable standard. Plaster was missing from the wall, there were signs of damp and the electric radiator was hanging off. There was also a strong smell of tobacco smoke in the room. Whilst very reasonably priced, we will not be using a Campanile property again.
We stayed in Campanile Hotels 3 times on our recent trip. Unfortunately each room left a lot to be desired, each room was in need of serious redecorating and upgrades, mould, cobwebs and even cockroach infestation. After 17 years of driving through France and using Campanile Hotels we have no choice but to find alternative hotels, offering better accommodation conditions
