The resort was nice, good food, friendly staff. I thought it was a good trip. Unfortunately, a week after my trip, the only 2 credit cards I took on my trip started having fraudulent charges. The only time my wallet was out of possession was when I left it in my room, in my purse, in my suitcase while I went to the pool. Good thing my credit card company caught it and canceled those cards. Beware and do not leave anything in your room.

The staff were friendly and happy to help. All the wait staff we interacted with were great! Loved that we could go to the other resorts. Really enjoyed Ventus! Ventus ‘Ha is across the way and a quieter option. The food everywhere we visited was delicious! So many great options! Bring money to tip, it’s appreciated and honestly the right thing to do. Trust me they’ll remember you and take great care of you! Just an FYI…If you have multiple devices make sure you decide which ones you will select to get the WiFi codes for because an additional device will cost you $60!

The resort was very nicely landscaped and the staff were friendly. The food at both the buffets and restaurants were very good. Having privileges at the other resorts was very nice and added to the experience. The one thing we did not understand and made no sense for a family resort was no place for teens to hang out after 8:00pm. The teen club closed and the other place that had pool and foosball kicked teens out after 8:00pm.

I really liked the cleanliness, safety and staff customer service. Everyone was super friendly and put a lot of effort into making sure our stay was super enjoyable. It's a great place for all ages! I would recommend facilitating more golf carts for easier transportation amd perhaps enabling pick ups at other locations besides the resort lobbies.

We came with 3 teen/tweens, my sister and I and our parents. I can say that overall, the food was amazing- the fresh fruit and made to order smoothies..I got spoiled. The kids had fun, and we did a fishing excursion and centotes verde Lucero excursion (for the cents, we just got an uber to a cents, preplanned an uber pickup since service was spotty. The cenotes was gorgeous, the water was emerald green and clean, and there were multiple places to jump into the water (it was actually a little scary since my 14 year old wanted to jump from the highest point). The downside was that the beach is unusable- what I regret not doing is planning a beach day excursion where there was usable beach. It didn't feel like a complete vacation because we never went to the beach. Tips- get familiar with the map and the restaurants/hours. Prebook reservations (we tried to book Monday reservations the same day, but they were booked out everywhere until Wednesday though I actually thought the dinner buffet was good). I could tell that everyone who worked there did a great job, please tip them accordingly, they work very hard!

I have very mixed feelings on the resort. The room, pool and the staff other than the front desk was great. The restaurant food was good if you could get in. We couldn’t get reservations the first few days. The buffet dinner was not very good. And very long lines if you wanted something fresh like pancakes or tacos, etc. The front desk staff including the manager, Manuel were not very helpful! The towel policy was never told to us and they didn’t care. They didn’t tell us about the extra charges for sheets either until it was too late. Very rude and they are not very considerate. Probably that worst experience at a hotel with the front desk staff we have ever had and we had booked 6 rooms.

Great Service and Family Amenities, But Beach and Room Conditions Need Improvement We stayed at Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort All Inclusive in Cancún, Mexico from June 7 to June 12, 2025, for a multigenerational family trip. Our group included six people (two adults and four kids), my mother, and my in-laws. The resort offered a lot for families, and overall, we had an enjoyable stay. The staff was excellent—friendly, helpful, and accommodating from check-in to check-out. The resort grounds were clean and well-kept, and the pool area, especially with the water slide, was a hit with our kids. The restaurants provided a good variety of food options, and the service in the dining areas was consistently attentive and courteous. However, there were a couple of notable downsides during our stay. First, the rooms had a persistent moldy smell, which was unpleasant and difficult to ignore. While the rooms were cleaned daily and generally well-maintained, the odor suggested a deeper humidity or ventilation issue that needs attention. Second, the beach area was heavily affected by seaweed throughout our stay. The shoreline and water were covered with seaweed, which gave off a strong foul odor and made it nearly impossible to enjoy the beach. While we understand this is a regional issue and not entirely the resort's fault, it significantly impacted our beach experience. The staff did try to clean it, but it was an ongoing challenge.
