Fantastic hotel. Our stay was short, but everything was great. Check in was super easy, we were upgraded to an ocean view room. Staff was amazing and the resort was always clean. I'll def be looking at staying at the RIU on my next vacation.

My room was good.My daughter paid for a double bed room and got a single bed room for 3 people. Had to keep on them to change it. They accused my nieces of switching wrist bands. One is 22 and one is 17.That is impossible to do because to get them off, you have to cut them off. The food was not good. Security took my babies spiderman bookbag with his spiderman towel in it while we were in the pool. Reason? Just because. (Annoying) They make it hard to relax. Will not go here again. They have NO ROOM SERVICE.

The wait staff & entertainment staff was excellent at the hotel. Our family (3 kids 18+) had a fantastic time at the silent disco, evening shows, and the RIU parties. Although we were not informed that the white party was canceled due to Christmas Eve. What was most disappointing was the raw human sewage in the ocean and on the beach in front of the hotel. Although the beach is public, human poop was NOT cleaned up. It was absolutely disgusting swimming in the ocean and having huge pieces of poop floating by your face. This is not sanitary. When I approached reception, they were very rude and condescending. They told me that I wasn't aware of how it worked around here--sewage travels from the lagoon on the other side into the ocean (of course I don't know how it works, I'm from another country). And, the staff told me it was completely normal for poop to be in the water and there was nothing wrong with it. I have traveled to many locations and I have never experienced raw sewage where I lay and swim. I'm not oblivious to the fact that our oceans are polluted however, I have never walked a beach with so many pieces of poop on the ground. On last day, my daughter stepped in poop. When I asked reception about picking it up daily, they said, "It's public, so who do you think is going to do it?" a rude response. I said, the hotel promotes the pools and ocean. They have chairs, entertainment, water sports, etc. I'm confused-is the hotel promoting the ocean front? Clean it up!

Staff was amazing. The food was mediocre. I was a little surprised the quality of food was not what I expected. We stayed at Riu las Americana's a couple years ago and the food was much better. I think we’d stick with the adult only for our next stay.

This was the perfect vacation! The service was excellent and we loved this resort! We enjoyed the activities such as aqua exercise classes, silent disco, and mariachi live performance. The room was clean, the pools and beach were great, and we enjoyed the food. We would definitely come back!

Everything was amazing. This was our first time visiting Cancun, and Hotel Riu Caribe exceeded our expectations. There were lots of food varieties, and we especially loved the Coral restaurant, Margarita, and the Steak House. The amenities were excellent, and the staff provided a kind and welcoming reception throughout our stay. We would definitely return.

I loved this resort. The staff worked so hard to keep it clean. Very very well kept. Buffet was the best. The other restaurants are a bit boring, with not much selection but the buffet was amazing. Would book again!
