A nice room, BUT, lighting was minimal, room was tired and needed an update, wifi was usable but very weak, hot tap was luke warm at best. We did enquire about the lack of hot water, but were told that maintenance was on holiday and nothing they could do. No hand soap in bathroom dispenser, tea/coffee/milk was not replenished. Marks on ceiling above the bed??? Bed mattress too soft leading to feet higher than torso. Staff were friendly, evening meal was ok, nothing special. Breakfast arrangements were poor and not well managed - coffee in hot water urn and 2nd day plate warmer was off. Spa was OK, however courses do get booked up and therefore unavailable for guests. Night time lighting of the stone lined roads needs to be better to prevent hitting the large stone blocks. Overall an OK stay, however more attention to detail and some investment could make the premises top notch.

Breakfast average. 3rd bed awful. Aged Z bed with saggy middle and springs falling off. Did not stay for the second night. We couldn’t face another night trying to sleep on it. Spa nice and staff friendly.

A peaceful countryside Welsh gem with pool, gym and spa included. Second stay here, there is a choice of modern or heritage rooms. We love everything here, grounds, rooms, breakfast but hugely rate the staff. Some people love modern, but the heritage rooms are spacious and quite special, full of character and have a good sized bathroom, ours even had a dressing room. The establishment is undergoing renovations under the new management but this is not in view of guests.

The hotel is in beautiful grounds, and the hotel was beautiful if you like the old style buildings! The room was beautiful and modern with walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable! All the staff were very polite, and very helpful. I visited with my grandson and he loved it too. We enjoyed the facilities, the food was wonderful. Will definitely visit again!

Staff were lovely but hotel quite run down,bathroom light for example worked intermittently, safety catch on window broken, key card stopped working after every use so had to get multiple remade ect ect.

Don't advertise wi-fi if, as advised by staff, it's been a problem from day 1. Please let all your staff know what time breakfast starts, I didn't enjoy being berated at the toaster at 6:30 because your breakfast staff were under the impression I was 30 minutes too early. Please advise your chefs on the art of seasoning food. Please review a lacklustre and, frankly, disappointing menu. 'Summer Green Veg' containing tasteless frozen green beans and peas boiled or microwaved is hardly a fair representation and either screams lack of skills or blatant mis-description. Also, wash or repaint your walls, especially in the restaurant. Once a luxurious and celebrated venue, the beautiful Cwrt Bleddyn is now tired and grubby. A deep-clean of all surfaces would be a great start. I saw 3 rooms as staff helped me search for a strong wi-fi signal - none were a joy to walk in to.

Unable to check in on time, only 30 min delay but free drinks at bar might have been offered. Very large room and bed, room was clean but quite worn. Bed was huge but I found it rather uncomfortable.

This property is in a wonderful setting, and has an excellent spa, one of the best I have ever used. The public areas are nicely decorated, and it is clean. HOWEVER - do not stay here! The bedroom we were given was well below standard. Peeling paint, rusty radiators with no thermostats, and a bathroom which was frankly dangerous. No toiletries provided, an overbath shower with no grab rails and a slippery floor. Very few plugs, and difficult to dry hair near a mirror. We had documentation to prove we had booked a superior room, which they refused to honour, although I had paid a supplement. Food on the Sunday night was awful as the bread in the sandwich was stale, although things improved on the next night. Impossible to sit in the bar area as music very loud. Generally this is just poor or lazy management. Clearly they are pretty much a function only hotel, and resent people booking through Expedia as ' normally they charge much more' If that is their attitude, better just stay elsewhere!

The hotel has a welcoming traditional vibe as you enter through mature gardens to a courtyard with a fountain. Our room was a very good size with a comfortable bed, dressing room and a proper full sized bath. There is a choice of modern or traditional. Breakfast was nice, a good cooked breakfast and fresh fruit was a plus, although some cold items had not been replenished and there was no choice of yoghurt. The spa was a plus with a pool jacuzzi etc. Some parts of the building are a little tired but the main areas are bright and comfortable. I’m sure the new owners will be working on these. The staff were friendly and professional, we would definitely like to return.

The hotel is in a nice location Gym and pool looked good but we didn't have time to use them. The hotel in general could do with a refurb We had a superior room It was a good size but furniture old fashioned & shabby. Our main oomplaints No heating in our room 1st night really cold but came on other 2. No heat at all in restaurant so really chilly. Hot food cold at breakfast.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful setting. Both hotel and spa reception staff were friendly. Breakfast was self service and more than adequate. We booked a superior double room but unfortunately this didn't meet the expectations given form the reviews published. At checkout I was asked about our stay and mentioned that, although a cost was involved, the flat pillows, very thin duvet and mattress were disgraceful for any hotel and should have been replaced some time ago. I was informed the General Manager might telephone me but as yet I haven't heard anything.
