Great hotel in a perfect location

We had a lovely one night stay at the Angel - everything was perfect - friendly helpful staff, comfortable, super clean room with lovely toiletries and a great breakfast. The location is perfect too for all city centre amenities. We went to the New Theatre which was a 10min stroll away. We will definitely stay again when we are next in Cardiff

I like the fact that it is old and has so much character. I thought the staff was highly responsive to any questions that I had re: area, restaurants, etc. The room was clean and maintained well. The staff even charged my phone when I couldn't get my charger to work! Would definitely return or recommend to others.

The staff are all friendly and work hard to keep the hotel clean and in as good a condition as possible but it is very run down and in urgent need of renovation. My mattress was also very uncomfortable and felt very old.
