Excellent location on the roaring Rapids River.
Great friendly staff, fantastic reasonably priced Café, delicious pulled pork with a bottle of wine on the river. Best to drive here in a sports type car, preferably convertible.
We had a wonderful stay!!! Thank you very much!!!
Plenty of self parking. Very close to a main road, so traffic noise is loud.

The hotel was as expected, a little outdated but still great option if staying in the park. Beautiful surrounding, friendly staff. Would be nice to have mini fridges in the room or at least an ice machine somewhere in the hotel. Gift shop has everything you might need including frozen food and microwave. Would definitely stay again.

This is a National Park Lodge. It is very basic but the location is perfect if you wish to enjoy the park and get an early start on some hiking.
The room was basic but nice and clean, staff was friendly and food was decent.
The location along the river was beautiful and quiet. Wish the park service could spruce up the lodge and rooms some. These are not cheap rooms but looked like a tired motel. But location is splendid to enjoy the much quieter Kings Canyon NP.
The location of the property is great but everything else was rather disappointing. The washrooms were not clean, the kitchen was there but nothing was functioning properly. Frying pas were the worst kind, everything got stuck to the bottom even with lots of oil and low heat. Towels were yellow, and carpets felt stickly. There were no screens at balcony doors, either we had to live with bugs or not able to circulate air. I usually never complain about any property, but compared to the price of staying the service and facility is lacking.
We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Grove. The river just outside the lodge was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms could use updating but the staff and the view were excellent. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
Overall this worked out well for us but based upon the price the facilities and the rooms are very outdated. Location was great and they had a store and grill for food.
Older building, shower was tiny, location on river was beautiful. Restaurant served good food but limited choices. Convenience store was well stocked for a remote location. Friendly staff.

Hotel very dated. Bare bones. Would have been nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast was bare bones. For the price (due to location) I would expect better. Only had cereal, mini muffins, small yogurts, no bagles, no toast. Juice in small plastic containers. Snack bar food was good, but overpriced. Ok hotel for amenities, excellent for location.

The property was great for what it is, a big step above camping. The place was clean and the room was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a market with a good variety of food and gift items and camping items. There was a small take out restaurant with decent food. The roaring river by the hotel was spectacular and we enjoyed relaxing by ut daily!
Great location, thankful for the snack bar that had great food options. I would recommend the place to friends. It’s old and you have to look beyond that I guess. The beds were comfortable and clean.
Very remote older spartan property by the National parks service. White knuckle drive descending mountains with spectacular views. Had to pause drive as workers were dealing with forest fire. Room would have been nice in the 1920s. No TV Has a small food market and dining choices are at a snack bar. Great for outdoors people and those who would like to get away from it all. I they do have WiFi.
Bad choice by me.

The lodge is right next to a beautiful river. The staff was pleasant and courteous. The bed was comfortable. The food was pretty good at the sandwich shop. Those are the positives. Check-in is exactly at 4 pm. The desk is in the market area and is not staffed continuously. The lodge was built in the 70s and not updated since. Actual keys to get into the rooms. No TV in the rooms. No water pressure in the showers. Toilets don’t flush well. Bring alternative entertainment. There is WiFi tho. It just needs some serious updating!
