Our check in was horrible! After a long travel day and flight delayed 5hrs. We called the hotel to tell them we will be arriving late and they say “ok no problem see you later”. We were dropped off from the shuttle and arrived late 1100pm. The front desk lady said oh we have your room away and do not have any other rooms. Now keep in mind we have two children with us and have to be back at airport at 6am connecting flight. Everyone is tired and would just like to sleep. I said excuse me we have had this reservation for the last 3 months. She said well yeah they over book sometimes. We are putting you at another hotel. I was very upset. She we get back on shuttle to a new hotel get to the assigned room and the room was never cleaned by house keeping. Had to be to another room. So dysfunctional and poor customer service. I have stayed at Hilton chain hotels before in other states and never had an issue. Not sure what happened at this one in Charolette. I will never stay here again. Poor customer service too. Everyone acted like they didn’t care. Except, one persons the lady driving the airport shuttle for the hotel. She was very nice and we made sure she was tipped well. For her kindness and speedy transportation to the new hotel we had to go too.
