Air conditioning did not really work that well and the rooms were very humid. From the outside the hotel looks very nice but the rooms are very dated. Next trip I’ll will be staying at a Holiday Inn.

Great location, maybe the lowest quality on Michigan Ave there but honestly, that makes it more affordable and still a great location. I was happy with it and didn’t need luxury. Awesome lake view that you can’t beat and extremely convenient for transportation.

I really liked the location of this hotel since it’s walking distance from a lot of cool attractions. If you don’t feel like walking, there is easy access to public transportation and it’s overall a very safe place to be even at night. The only downside I found was the condition of the hallways in the hotel and also in the rooms. The hotel definitely shows its age since it was build in the 1800’s but it’s not a dealbreaker in my experience.

my room was small but comfortable, however due to the above ground metro line nearby it was noisy. Overall this is an amazing hotel for a 130+ years old building. Even if you are not staying in this hotel you should visit the lobby and look at the architecture. But if you are looking for a comfortable stay it might not be for you.
