Old gross room

Room looked nothing like the pictures advertised. It was extremely old, gross dingy carpet peeling up around the edges. It was an adjoining room (not requested and we didn’t know the people in the other room) but there was about an inch gap between the door and the frame so you could see right into the other room and vice versa. Fully booked so no other options. Thin walls. Requested extra towels (we had 4 in our room and they only provided 3). They never sent them up to us. It’s a great location but to spend $500/ni for an old cheap room wasn’t great.

and also be close to my destination(s), next time I’ll just pay for the closer, better hotel. I knew this was obviously an older hotel, but the rooms are very outdated. Needs overhaul renovation immediately. Roach in the light fixture, it was dead but it was highly visible! Face palm… Dirty, dusty air vents. Never again!

The room was very outdated. They have a EXTREMELY SMALL TV. NO HEAT WE CALLED TO THE FRONT DESK. THEY HAD TO PROVIDE A HEATER THST DID NOT HEAT ROOM. THE SHOWER HEAD WAS LOSE FROM THE WALL TO THE POINT WE COULD SEE A PIPE. AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE TUB THEY COVERED UP MOLD WITH CAULK. THERE IS NO MICROWAVE. THERE WAS ALSO A EMPTY BOTTLE OF LIQUOR ON THE STAIRS IN THE HALLWAY THAT WAS THERE FOR DAYS. NO PICTURES ON THE WALL.

There are areas of the property outside that need some tlc. The hallways are outdated in decor but the room was clean and comfortable. The reception area was very pretty. The staff was courteous and friendly. The hotel itself has a good location walkable to the Soldier Field which we were in town for a concert there. There are walkable restaurants and parks nearby. We did not feel unsafe in the area.
