Motel like place with all rooms on ground floor.Stayed 1 night here when travelling from Queenstown to Franz Glacier in Jan 25.Rooms were good but no a/c and breakfast adequate.Dining,bar & pool room were all in one (noisy) so went to the only other place that was serving food.Did not have the time to explore the area.Good enough hotel to break the journey

Open landscape view of grasslands and sky was very beautiful, short drive to township. Be careful when copy address from Bookings GPS sends you to spot 23 km away from the hotel.

Room is old being a heritage hotel but bathroom is newly renovated. The room feels like a motel rather than hotel though. Comfy bed and pillows. A lot of amenities given like shower cap, make up remover, and toiletries are of good quality and smell nice too. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has some hot section, cereal, yoghurt and bread.

We cancelled our stay on arrival after seeing room . The heating was on and could not be controlled from the room-iIt is centrally controlled and is set for all the buildings in the complex. There was a fan but it would not solve the problem of a stuffy room overnight. Staff not very interested. Room very small. A great disappointmen. WEe went elsewhere.

From the outside. Thought the rooms would be smelly and not clean, but I was pleasantly surprised and they were really nice, well equipt and comfy. The reason for the 3 stars is the restaurant, apparently the chef had a melt down after we ordered and 4 hours later we ended up getting our money back and eating a cold sandwich from their refrigerator case because we had been drinking while waiting we couldn’t go anywhere else. They did their best and gave us the sandwich and a couple of free drinks trying to make us happy, but it was very poor management.
