2 things I would want to change: Water pressure in the shower was so low that I couldn't wash my hair. Also, would have loved a smoking area outside with seating. Other than those things, our stay was amazing, and the hotel was beautiful. We loved sitting in the gorgeous lobby, in the comfy chairs, while relaxing during down times.

First of all i missed the fine print of additional $25 per stay charge. No water pressure in the shower. The hallways were a maze of confusion. And reminded us of the shining. The room could have used a microwave. With that being said, the staff was super friendly. The bed was comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel was located close to most downtown attractions, as well as the redline to wrigley field.

A Luxurious Step Back in Time The Palmer House Hotel completely exceeded my expectations. What stood out most was the stunning lobby—truly a work of art with its intricate ceiling murals, gold accents, and opulent chandeliers. It felt like walking into a palace. The service was impeccable—every staff member I interacted with was kind, helpful, and professional. I also loved the hotel’s spa and fitness center, which were both modern and well-maintained. My room was quiet, cozy, and spotless, with plush bedding and beautiful views of the city. The location was ideal—just steps away from Grant Park, theaters, and world-class shopping on State Street.
