Right next to shoreline and beach a short walk less than 10 minutes walk outside of hotel. Restaurant and little shops are nice and convenient ground level of hotels. Restaurant is delicious using butter instead of oil to cook there meals added an extra layer of flavor in the breakfast. Front desks are especially helpful and quick to respond to any questions or issues. All staff were very responsive and polite to be around and never interfering. Our room was very spacious and quiet to be in considering in a major city. Gives you the feeling of the old hotel but all the benefits of modern living. Definitely if given the chance will come back.

Location is excellent, and the staff is wonderful. The main areas of the hotel (lobby, etc) are beautiful. Our room was lacking and in need of a deep clean and refresh. The wallpaper was peeling, chain lock was broken off, thick layer of dust on headboards, lamps, etc.

The employees at the hotel were kind and courteous. The hotel is in a great location to as a base camp to visit all of the tourists spots in the Windy City. Highly recommended!

The history of the Drake is great but with that comes uniqueness for example bathroom layout minimal space to set things and one plug & old furniture the restaurant is great and staff really good!
