Dated hotel, ok area

The hotel was in a good location, close to the beach and some shopping. It is very dated though, the walls are paper thin, we heard all our neighbors weird noises. The breakfast was underwhelming.

Perfect location for our stay. Breakfast was good and sort of a bonus for a hotel in downtown Chicago. Good variety of breakfast options.The room was quiet and the bed and pillows comfortable. Would definitely consider staying there on a future trip to Chicago.

Stayed two nights. The first night the AC wasn’t working. It was a sweltering hot day. Technician came up after I called twice. Barely got it working, but half hour later it stopped all together. Hotel said didn’t have other rooms. Then tried to convince me that it’s working (it wasn’t). It was too late to find another hotel at midnight. Hotel refused to refund my stay. Moved me to another room the next day with working AC. Not sure how the hotel gets decent reviews. Maybe I just got an unlucky room but the service and attitude and refusal to refund is UNACCEPTABLE. I’m going to continue fighting for a refund just on principle.

The building is an older building, so you should be prepared for that and understand that certain amenities are going to be less available. For instance, I had to call the front desk for ice, instead of just going to an ice machine. The bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was good for most of my stay, but every once in a while, if I was streaming a show, it would freeze. The room was spacious. I liked that there was a desk in the room. The TV could have been bigger. Overall, it was a nice hotel for the price.
