My reservation had a last-minute change. My 24-year-old daughter decided not to stay the night. I understand the room was not refundable. My son stayed in it. But the hotel still insisted on having my daughter’s drivers license on file. Even though she wasn’t even staying there. Why do they need a picture of her drivers license?

The hotel in the middle of a concrete jungle of highways, so lots of traffic noise, with an airco from the 1950s that sounded like an old tractor. Staff were nice, but breakfast was as disappointing as the plastic cutlery.

This property was supposed to be smoke free but the moment I got into my room it smelt like someone was in there smoking every time. I ordered a smoke free room and it definitely wasn’t. I had to switch rooms because my first room smelt terrible and the bathroom was not clean at all. My second room smelt like cigarettes and I found hair and boogers all over the bathroom and even hair in the fridge. I had to clean the room myself. There was a big problem, I had two huge cockroaches in my room while I stayed there. You definitely get what you pay for here. It was quiet so that was nice but didn’t seem safe. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you stand stand the smell of cigarettes and are willing to bleach everything yourself. You also could have an amazing view but the windows on the outside have not been cleaned so it was too foggy to even look out the window.

I would have preferred to relocate but I was told I would have to still pay for at least one night if I canceled my reservation. Due to the situation I was given another room which was cleaner but I honestly feel like a refund should have been offered due to the fact it was the hotel's negligence.

Worth The Money

Some elements of the hotel are obviously dated and worn. The toilet seat was loose when we entered the room. I tightened it the best I could given one plastic faster was stripped. The coffee maker in the lobby was not available after breakfast, but the clerk behind the desk got me a cup anyway. Parking is under the hotel and has a 6’ 10 limit, so it was close for us since we have a topper on the car. We managed to squeak in. Our room was comfortable and nicely furnished. Some paint and a little maintenance would make this hotel a nice place to stay.

Me and my wife was very disgusted with the area, once we checked in we wasn’t happy. We looked at the room without taking our luggage out the car, so we went and got something to eat and decided that we wasn’t staying there even though we paid for 3 nights. I contact the front desk and explain to them I didn’t want the room because it was dirty , people hanging out around the property and I was ok with them keeping the first night payment even though I didn’t stay. I’m waiting for my refund for the other 2 nights because I had to pay for a different hotel.

There are homeless people waiting to harass you in the garage, only 3 ice machines are currently working, the hotel doesn't have a store for any basic essentials and if you need them you have to go across the street to the sketchy gas station. The lobby smells like a urinal and the room isn't much better, DO NOT GO HERE!

The hotel was good value and very close to the centre of the city, a 10 minute walk to the City Hall, and 20 mins to the commercial centre, with free parking. The hotel room was spacious and comfortable, with wifi and a fridge. Staff were very friendly. I would be happy to stay again.
