Business travelers beware

My 1-star rating for "service" has nothing to do with expected customer service in general, it as to do with the archaic accounting system that the hotel shares with Expedia/Hotels.com. When I travel for business, I am required to produce a hotel receipt to submit for reimbursement. As I checked out, I was shocked to hear that Holiday Inn cannot print me a standard receipt because I booked through Hotels.com. After calling Hotels.com, they said they can only send me a receipt that I paid for a room, but could not produce a standard receipt that shows that I stayed at this particular hotel, on the specific date and that the payment was made at the hotel. Holiday Inn, after calling them again, said they can send me a receipt that shows I stayed there, but it couldn't indicate that I paid the room rate, it just showed a balance of "0". In this day and age, I can't obtain a standard hotel receipt on hotel letterhead that says I stayed there and paid the room rate? This is unacceptable. Other than this issue, my stay was good, as well as the room rate. Lastly, this review is as much a reflection for Hotels.com as it is for Holiday Inn.

My very first time having a really bad experience at Holiday Inn. My bad experience was with our room, which I was able to switch rooms. The young girl upfront was super nice and did everything in her power to make my stay more comfortable.

Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was Amazing. I was looking forward to a nice evening in the jazzed. Went out there and it was wasnt working. Very cold. A little disappointed. I just needed to relax. Had to book me a massage somewhere else..told front desk. A couple more people came out to enjoy it and was very upset. That was the whole reason they booked that hotel for the jacuzzi. Hopefully it gets fixed because the stay was Amazing besides that 1 thing...
