The nation's capital city, Canberra, is located approximately 600 kilometres to the northeast of Colac.

Sitting 50 kilometres to the south, Johanna Beach is a charming spot to while away an afternoon relaxing by the water. Warrnambool Beach also offers visitors some gorgeous scenery. You'll find this enticing shoreline 95 kilometres to the south.

Break out on a trip to some surrounding natural sights. 50 kilometres out of Colac, Great Otway National Park is waiting to be explored. Erskine Falls, 35 kilometres away, is another excellent spot to hang out in the outdoors.
