Check in was half an hour late, then the bedding for the one bed had no covers on them so we had to go and fetch it from reception and only 1 towel in the room so again had to go and get one. There is a restaurant downstairs and some of the extremely drunk guests (men who were swearing and making inappropriate sexual comments towards some of the younger girls in the hotel ) were hanging around the lower rooms.

Lovely place to stay

A little tired around the edges but basically a decent hotel and we had good overnight stay. Full marks to the front desk staff who kept smiling and remained professional when a guest checking out before us was overbearing and very rude.

Rooms were spacious and clean, nicely decorated. The staff were awesome, so friendly and welcoming. Even members of the gym that we used were super helpful and friendly. An area of little toys for little ones was unexpected as well as an outdoor play area.

This hotel has declined in my opinion

I'll start with the good parts - Good Valentine's Day set up upon arrival with free wine soft drinks sweets and chocolate given out. Bad parts - arrived after 2pm room wasn't ready had to wait around for 20 minutes. Bad set up in twin room one of the beds had an interconnecting door behind it meaning you had a door handle to bang your head on if you sat up in bed. Worst beds I have ever experienced in a holiday inn very old with lumpy mattress. Ordered room service not very hot and not everything arrived. Was not asked on check out how my stay was I feel like the standards at this particular HI have really declined since my last visit in September. Maybe that's why they don't ask how your stay was when checking out anymore.
