You get what you pay for our room was clean very basic. Beds where comfy maid came in every day. Breakfast ok nothing special. The guy serving breakfast is the rudest most miserable man ive come accross think he needs to retire. Basil Faulty we called him. If you have not got a sense of humour or easily offended perhaps the area the Hotel in is not for you. There some dodgy looking people about if you return to your hotel after midnight but to be honest no hassle we just laughed. Hotel reception staff very helpful

Historical Hotel: 5-star

I love the medieval vibes of the hotel, and upon research, the hotel has been in service since the 12th century. I love the location and its proximity to public transport and tourist attractions. The staff were also lovely.

Not bad, would stay again if price was right.

Only one lady with light coloured hair and a guy was friendly, the other 3 ladys i met behind reception were very arrogant and not welcoming. Rooms were dated but fine to sleep in! Hotel itself is quite nice. The breakfast was ok not great needs more options.

Cool, Quirky and full of Character,

Great little place, huge by Europe standards, clean functional convenient. Was quirky, dark, but definitely filled with character and atmosphere look forward to staying there again next conference in Cologne

Good value, location, service,Get what you pay for

This is a heritage hotel, offering good value, a convenient location with a helpful staff. When I had an issue with a third party booking company, they assisted me in resolving it. For those with reasonable expectations, it is an excellent choice. After reading the reviews, those that were disappointed were not very grounded in reality and expected the experience of a brand new hotel, which is unreasonable. For example, many people were complaining about the lack of an elevator ignoring the fact, it is an older building that cannot easily retrofit an elevator into. The location is central and some of the businesses nearby may not appeal to some, but this is not in the hotel’s control and they provide a safe and clean environment. I would stay here again.

I have no complaints at all about the cleanliness of the hotel, the staff or the buffet breakfast. My only complaint was that the room sound proofing wasn't as good and I could hear the conversations of the people on the street at 03:20 while trying to get to sleep. Otherwise, it was a perfectly pleasant stay

It's an extremely old hotel. People at reception are like robots. there is no parking place. we asked for water boiler but there was no boiler at entire hotel where we could ake a cup of tea in our room. only good thing was the quite central location. If you can spend a bit more money you better look for a different hotel.

Booked for three nights and stayed one until we found a much nicer hotel. The rooms were very smelly and breakfast was awful. If you don't mind exotic massage shops a sex shop next door and a sex cinema on the other side this may be okay for you.

Very pleasant stay and overall happy with the experience. Staff were friendly, room was good for the price, beds were very comfy. Only critiquewould be a limited selection for breakfast (however this is down to preference of course)

Good location

Very good location to get to Dom and Christmas markets. Shower flooded our first room but relocated without any hassle. Breakfast room too small and ground floor rooms were noisy at night.

The hotel rooms were very dated and needed renovating. Shower leaked, shower rail was held up by electrical wire. There was no kettle or refreshments in the room. It's a very loud hotel, lots of doors banging throughout the day and night. The hotel is based next to a sex shop and a sec cinemas. Breakfast is basic but does the job. Staff were friendly. But we won't be returning.
