Do not recommend.

Check in was suppose to be at 4:00. Our room was to ready till after 5:00. After finding out our room had no connection to the tv called the front desk. The manager on duty said they could not do anything about it because we got our room from hotels.com. Not to mention the room above us had children jumping off the beds and running around late night and early morning. Needles to say we check out at 8:00 am because we could not sleep. This is not the first time we stayed at this hotel but it has definitely gone downhill.

Convenient to get to Golden Nugget Casino, we tried to check-in at 3pm (check-in is at 4pm), they said the rooms weren’t available or cleaned yet and to come back at 4pm. We arrived back at the hotel at 4pm for them to tell us that the rooms were still not available and it won’t be ready for another 45 mins. We had somewhere to be at 5pm, so we had a bit of a time crunch to get in the room and drop off our stuff and get changed. Overall, the place is nice, but accommodating the delay of getting into the room was not so nice. The manager said he would apply a discount to our stay for the inconvenience, but that was not upheld. Not sure we would stay here again.

Gena greeted us the moment we walked through the doors to the beautiful lobby, she was so amazing! Brought us extra pillows right to our door and gave us good advice on how to get places and where to go. Thank gosh for you Gena! Our room was awesome, and so clean I took a bath with no second thought. We will definitely be back! Also the ice castles are 3 minutes down the road.

Gold Nugget was good but doesn't have recycle...

We had a great time in Cripple Creek! The hotel was priced well, comfortable and clean. The room was small but big enough. The only real drawback is that there seemed to be no effort to recycle. Everything went in the trash and when I asked a staff member if there was a recycle big she said nope! Come on now!

This property was very clean and the staff was nice. They answered all my questions. I was skeptical in the beginning about staying because, I saw quite a bit of comments about the staff being rude. The location was very convenient 3 min drive to Ice Castles and downtown (in town). I didn’t like the fact that the swimming pool was at a sister property up the street so, I never made it there. I would stay at this property again.
