Okay, we're sensing your vibe! It's time to dust off your passport, say goodbye to the nine-to-five and take in the sights and sounds of Coonamble. Situated in the well-loved region of Central New South Wales (which is known for its awesome rural landscapes and rivers), it promises to be the getaway you deserve!
It sits 490 kilometres north of Canberra, the capital of Australia.
Remember to visit the Museum Under the Bridge to reflect and fully immerse yourself in the regional culture.
Quambone is 45 kilometres to the west and worth a day trip. Want some more ideas? Pilliga, 70 kilometres to the northeast of Coonamble, ought to be on your list.
Heading out and seeing the region doesn't get any better when your options include engaging activities like hiking and horse riding.
Picnicking is a fun way to slow down after filling your days with hours of sightseeing. If you feel like a bit more time outside in the fresh air, why not think about going bird watching too?
Planning your own holiday itinerary is freeing, but every so often it's a relief to let someone else handle the hard stuff. Culinary tours and winery tours provide a simple way to explore the region.
Take your holiday to a higher level by having a shot at sky diving. You'll almost be able to grab the clouds as you float across the sky like a bird.
The region's art museums, history museums, art galleries and craft workshops offer something for all visitors. Step through the doors and see what's going on.
It's hard to think of a more engaging way to learn about the surrounding area than by taking time to visit its open-air museums, open-air exhibits and farms.
'There is no love sincerer than the love of food,' George Bernard Shaw once said, but add travel to the mix and it's a marriage made in heaven. You're invited to indulge in two of your biggest loves by eating and drinking your way around Central New South Wales.
If you're scanning a menu, there's a strong chance you'll come across meals with beef or oysters. They're just some ingredients typically used in the cooking here.
Of course, you can't visit Coonamble without introducing your taste buds to salt and pepper squid or meat pie. Popular with locals and considered regional specialties, they are a must-try experience for any food-obsessed traveller.
You can never have too much dessert on holiday, so why not indulge in some peach melba? It's worth every last calorie!
For lovers of a good pint, get comfy at a bar and say Hahn. Enjoy it with a side of joke-cracking and mixing with the locals.
To get the party going, enjoy a couple of shots of Bundaberg Spiced Rum. Sip it neat or ask your barkeep for mixer suggestions.
There's a barrel full of reasons to order Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon or Orange region Merlot. These tasty drops draw wine authorities from far and wide.
With a bit of planning, making it to Kingsford Smith International Airport (SYD), the nearest airport, shouldn't be too difficult. It's about 430 kilometres southeast of downtown Coonamble.

Castlereagh Lodge Motel
It's a three star motel in a small country town. Reception was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the 70s decor was well maintained. The surroundings, gardens driveways etc need some TLC.
