The staff was extremely friendly. The grounds and rooms were clean. The entertainment was good and love the pool bar area. The photographers were awesome capturing great moments for a lifetime of memories.

Traveled here for my birthday and staff made me feel special and welcomed. The resort is beautiful and clean and the food and drinks were pretty good too. I would rate my experience 10/10. It is slightly more expensive than its sister hotel Riu Guanecaste but so very worth the money. I will only be staying at Riu Palace from here on out while in Costa Rica.

I am very through when it comes to trips. If you are a solo traveler or even looking for a family vacation . This is a good place to stay. Pros: - The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. Even the workers fixing up the hotel. Easy to show you where to go if needed. - It is safe ! The resort is gated and there is security that checks cars and vans coming in and out. I saw a comment about someone losing money from their room. The resorts’ gate security checks employees belongings before leaving work. - Food choices are pretty good for all inclusive. They have an omelette bar in the mornings where you can pick your choice of fixings for the cook to make. So yummy !! - I did not book excursions prior to my trip because I felt I would get better deals at the resort and I did !! There are different companies at the resorts that offer many excursions. I went on the volcano sight seeing / hike with a mud bath . It was an experience I will never forget. - Souvenirs: The resort has amazing shops to buy souvenirs, however I love how the local merchants were allowed on the resort on the beach. You are able to negotiate prices with them. Some can be more aggressive to sell than others. Con’s: There’s no true nightlife at the resorts, except a mini club on the outskirts and the shows the resorts have a 9pm nightly. - BUGS ! I made sure to lock my screen door at night because the creatures come out at night. I still ended with a beetle in my room. Overall a good vacay spot

The property itself is beautiful! Plenty of space around the resort to venture. My typical day would start at Cappuccino sipping a fresh coffee overlooking the pool areas outside. Then I would go change into my trunks and cruise over to the swim up bar. Let me just say that the bartenders and service staff here are all so friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Come for the staff and have a good time with them! After the swim up bar it would be back to the room for a quick change for dinner which they do have several dining spots to choose from all different styles of food too. The entertainment was great, didn't get a chance to catch too many shows but really enjoyed the ones we did go to and the kahoot trivia was super fun. Scuba Caribe was great for excursions and were very convenient because it's all done through the resort. All in all it was a really great trip and super close to the Diamante Adventure Park if you want to spend a day there. Honestly can't go wrong with this resort.

Property was clean. Staff was friendly. Beach was accessible and nice. Short distance to Cocoa Beach and excursions. Great stay overall.

Magnificent, impressive structure, awesome pools, many options. Restaurants all excellent, buffets superb, rooms nice, clean, comfortable. Entire staff, through out the all inclusive property was outstanding, friendly, courteous, helpful and did their best to engage us in our own language. It is evident that RIU values their employees and spends a considerable amount of time and effort in quality staff training. Absolutely no complaints!

This was our first time staying at a Riu property, but it won't be the last. We had a fantastic time. Food and Drinks - Both were plentiful and delicious. There are four themed restaurants and a buffet. The buffet is plentiful and spacious. There are lots of options for everyone, although picky kids may be a little disappointed. The chicken fingers were overcooked, the fries were hit and miss, and the jello was overly gelatinous (more like a jello jiggler). But with hundreds of food items, those were the few rare misses. Staff - super friendly and attentive. Sitting by the pool you will have a new drink pretty much as you finish your last one. We had dozens of interactions, and found each and every person to be friendly, attentive, and actually care about our enjoyment. Cleanliness - Top notch. Constant cleaning. Overall, while Costa Rica was an amazing place to visit, this resort helped make our trip a truly memorable experience. I would absolutely come back!

The only negative comment is that it shouldnt be allowed to safe chairs so early in the morning, not wven at 7 am cpuld we find chairs. Very annoyed at ttaveling with a fanily of 7 and 3 kids, its hard to gwt up 5 or 6am to go safe chairs. This was very inconvenient. Everything else was just fine.

We had gone to this resort 7 years ago. We really enjoyed it and loved it then. We decided to return this year. We were disappointed by the conditions of the rooms. In general they were tired and needed updating. Our safe was broken, the hair dryer was broken, but replaced in a timely fashion. The lighting is horrible! Beach, pool areas were very nice. Restaurants were good. The steak at the steak house was not good. The staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive.

Seven family members stayed at the RIU Palace Guanacaste. Three of us had birthdays and the rooms were updated and decorated. We had a Junior suite that was had alcohol dispensers, a fridge with drinks, a mini jacuzzi and king bed with a lovely veranda overlooking the pool and partial view of the ocean. Overall the room was clean and well kept. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the view was amazing. The shows were great, top shelf liquor and multiple restaurants. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant and the buffet restaurant the most-great selection of food, fruits and drinks. This was our first time at a RIU resort and we all absolutely loved it. We were able to do some side tours for horseback riding, ziplining, white water rafting , water tubing and thermal pool. We also visited Tamarindo and some of the surrounding areas had had amazing seafood in Tamarindo. Overall 10/10-best birthday ever. Thank you RIU

Everyone on the property was extremely friendly - I went with a friend for a girl's trip and we enjoyed every aspect of our trip, and would definitely plan to come again. Food was excellent, service was excellent, and the location was beautiful.
