I booked here out of a recommendation by a YouTube vlogger. Looked impressive from the video and in pictures, much less so in person. We moved from a riverfront hotel to this beach front so we can experience being on the beach. Note that you pay a premium for the location as the riverfront hotel we came from was way nicer and elegant but cheaper. But there’s no issue with this hotel, that’s just the reality.
Staff were very helpful and kind. There’s some food and drinks available at the lobby But I never saw anyone eat it drink anything there as there’s no place to do it.
We got the oceanfront room on the 14th floor. Spectacular view. Big room! It was clean and had all the amenities you’d expect. Room is functional but had design issues. Like the floating dresser not attached properly to the wall (safety issue). Flawed bathroom tub design means there’s no way you can take a shower without having the overflow splash flood your floor. We had to block it off with a towel. The dining room for the buffet was way crowded (furnishings were too large so chairs touched each other). Breakfast buffet was satisfying but not very exciting, plus it’s a long walk from the food to where you’re sitting. Overall experience was good though. Reasonable price, decent amenities, comfortable bed, controllable climate, decent breakfast. Clean! In this market you really need to stand out to get loyalty. So even if we enjoyed our stay, we would have no qualms about choosing another hotel next time.
