I showed up at the property, there was a stack of someone's belongings outside of a window on the ground. There was a couple with 4 big dogs sitting on the ledges to go into the hotel. There was no one at the check in desk, no phone nothing looking like a real desk no one on the property to check you in. A gentleman that was staying there told me if I was checking in I needed to go to the hotel at the top of the hill and call the number listed there (a Baymont). I told him I had smelled mildew/mold and I was extremely allergic to mold/mildew and could not stay there. I drove up the hill there was a white desk area with a telephone number of 515-705-5732. I called that number 2 times with no answer. Then I called expedia to explain the situation. I gave the telephone number that was on the sign on the registration desk for her to call. She called two times with no answer and said she would keep trying to call and get hold of the manager because of the mold/mildew smell and my allergies to get a refund and I would be sent an email regarding a refund. I do not have email on my phone so when i got home on Tuesday I saw the email that they could not get hold of the manager and I would not get a refund for the 4 days I was to stay there with my daughter. I took pictures of the outside of the hotel showing the conditions and the people sitting with there dogs. I am a Wyndham rewards member for several years and I have stayed at a variety of your hotels.

I didn't stay at all,no tv in the room when I went into the room,.It had a terrible odor.I stood at the counter area waiting about 30 minutes before I was able to confirm my reservation. Because there were other unhappy guest trying to get checked in, and there were no clean rooms.So,that was my first red flag.After letting them know there was no tv in the room,they offered to give me the one they had in there room.I accepted, but after going back to the room I couldn't stand the horrible smell, and there was no towels, or tissue in the bathroom. So,I decided to leave. And went to the front desk to chekout

Check in is actually at the Baymont Inn. Room was missing desk chair, ice bucket, drinking glasses, pillow cases. They finally moved me to a room in the adjacent Baymont Inn. It was missing towels. I was brought one well-worn towel which had holes in it. Internet is down for the second day. Breakfast wasn't ready at 6 o"clock. People staying there helped get the plates and bowls out and chairs down.

Upon arrival I couldn't locate the front desk to check in (there was an area, but no computer or phone present). This is because there is none, you have to check in at the neighboring hotel--there was no sign informing guests of this, I just went there by chance. I waited while they dealt with another guest that had been assigned to a room that was already occupied, and then that occupant coming down to complain how they got walked in on. Room was cool enough, but stayed very humid, which you could tell was the norm by the rust present on the lamps. Toilet dirty, sink and bathtub had hair, bathmat had a hole and was wet. No soap (did have moisturizer and shampoo). In places that walls had been patched but not repainted. TV turned on, but was not correct remote so couldn't change channels or get the program on the whole screen. My room and the whole entire place felt grimy. Front door and all room doors beat up. Hallway needed sweeping. Tops of washer and dryer dirty. I felt unsafe seeing the condition of the property and knowing that no staff was present in the building at all. Pool had a permanent looking "Pool Closed" sign and was half full of dirty water and a tarp that had partly fallen in. I got breakfast at the neighboring hotel where I checked in, wasn't that clean or nice over there either. I'll remember now to always look at reviews even when I am in a rush.

We reserved 2 rooms through you at Super 8, but when we got there we had to check in at Baymont next door because Super 8 was condenmed , but the rooms were just inside the Super 8 entrance. There was a strip joint connected to Baymont wyndam.The room was set up for having sex. No phone, tv had no cab!e box, tv didn't work. Only thing there that worked was 2 beds and a chair. My sister-in-law(Mary wright) got Baymont to put us in 2 rooms in their hotel. Sup er 8 is a scam and Baymont might be partners. I want a refund. I have terminal cancer and on oxygen, so I was to stressed to take pictures.

Avoid at all costs

1) The Super 8 is hidden behind the Baymont, not visible from the street. 2) Check-in is at the Baymont. 3) The most foul stench of cigarettes, bodies and garbage as soon as you open the door. 4) Carpets worn and frayed -- trip and fall hazard. 5) holes and unpainted wall patches in bedroom walls (room 239). 6) Bed not made and tucked tightly -- appeared that covers were just pulled up after the last victim. 7) No towels or washcloths or drinking cups anywhere in room. 8) Dead, desiccated insect bodies between the bottom sheet and the mattress pad -- How long has it been since that bottom sheet has been changed? 8) Staff refused to refund my money. 9) Left a note for manager with 48 hour time limit to call me and make things right, he/she never called. I will be reporting this facility to the Iowa Attorney General and the county health department.

***DO NOT STAY HERE*** Comforter was dirty and had white stain on it. There was no toliet paper in the room. The phone and wifi was out all weekend. There was no manager on site to handle any of the issues that came. Asked for a refund si i could stay somewhere else and was told the manager would process that when he can in on Monday. Obviously the manager didn't do. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

In over 50 years of staying at hotels, this was probably the worst hotel ever. No one was in the office and I had to go to the sister property. First room had no TV 2nd Room bed had been slept in and not made up. 3rd Room had a totally disgusting chair with the seat all ripped off. 4th Room had blood spatter all over the wall (crime scene) and hair and dirt in the tub. I asked to be put in the sister property and they would not credit the money I already paid for the first room. I asked to talk to the manager and the clerk said there was no phone and the manager who was at other properties would not answer in any case. There was no breakfast. Absolutely the worst. I am hoping to get a refund from Expedia.

WORST hotel I've ever stayed at. Usually, if I saw mouse traps by the doors and the condition of the property the way this hotel was, I'd cancel and find somewhere else to stay, but we were exhausted and needed a place. Everything smelled like pot. The room was filthy and we were given only 1 set of towel and washcloth. Given the state of the room, we wore our clothes to bed and slept on top of the covers and got out of there as soon as we woke up. We worried about the safety of our vehicles the entire time. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!
