Delaware winery accommodation

Here's the good: - nice location - clean linens and carpet - nice pier to sit on overlooking the bay. Everything else: Booked a month or so ago. Arrived to discover they were renovating parts of the hotel, and that my room was directly over top of where workmen were cutting large slabs of marble with saws. When I inquired about the noise, the staff only said "Oh, we're renovating." Constant power sawing went on for two days. The morning of check out, I was in the shower when the water was cut off, no warning, because they were apparenlt redoing the washer-dryers outside my room. I don't normally write negative reviews, but the three day vacation I tried to go on was hampered by poor weather. I couldnt retreat to the beach, and the hotel I booked to relax was under construction. I understand needing to renovate, especially during off season, but I would have booked somewhere I could actually take a nap for my vacation. Super disappointing.

Making fresh waffles was good, hard boiled eggs were kind of sad. They updated the room since our previous visit -- did a very nice remodel of the bathroom. Not happy about not being told that the hot tub wasn't functional during booking process. If I had known about the hot tub being down I would NOT have booked this stay at this location.

Comfortable seating & sleeping accommodations. Decent complimentary breakfast. Disappointed there was no balcony & view was of a parking lot.

We loved the balcony and view of the ocean from our room. The sound of the ocean as we slept was beautiful! The staff at the front desk were nice and helpful. We loved that we were at the end of the board walk. It was quiet, and the access to beach was easy. It made it easy to watch the sunrise! We even saw dolphins! It was easy to walk to the restaurants and shops. The parking was a little confusing; however, at the time they were redoing the main parking garage. Our room needed some work. There was a broken light in the bathroom. Another light in the bathroom barely lit up. There was an annoying high-pitched hum in the bathroom. We kept the door shut to lessen the sound. There were some poorly painted sections of the walls. It was a big room, but the two queen beds were oddly close to each other. In other words, maybe they could lay the room out differently. The room seems like at one point it was a condo instead of a hotel room.

We frequent this hotel a few times a year. The staff is always pleasant and the property/rooms are spotless. The location is great and Within walking distance to Rehoboth Avenue and the great restaurants Rehoboth has to offer. Always a pleasure!!
