Compare Ski Hotels in Dinner Plain

We had a family getaway which included our dog. Faithfulls was perfectly located between the trees and was great to be able to park in front of the house. Walking ability to the village with cafe, shops pub and supermarket as well as the bus to Mt Hotham. A fabulous well equipped house - our host was great checking in to make sure we had enough firewood or if we needed anything else.

Whilst the location and house itself was good, the facilities were average considering the amount paid. Specifically, there was no/limited basic amenities; no salt/pepper, small amount of coffee satchels, no mop provided, no rubbish bin ties, and the kitchen facilities were very limited for 6 people staying.The kitchen itself was below average in terms of cleanliness, and the oven was filthy - this needed complete cleaning before use. For the price paid and the description we expected (and received in the past) more.

We had 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. We had a lovely time. Most of the group was skiing but some stayed home to enjoy dinner plain walks and relaxing at the house. The place was well stocked, the linen and towels were clean with a lot of extra blankets if cold. We cooked every day and well stocked with kitchen utensils etc Very responsive with queries.

Good enjoyable stay

It was a lovely place, and the studio apartment was perfect for our needs, but the stairs to the second story apartment were difficult for our dog to manage. If you have a small dog that can be carried up and down the stairs, I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment. If your dog needs to navigate the stairs by themselves, the coarse grating and steepness of the stairs will be extremely challenging. This problem, however, could be easily solved with a dog-friendly grate on one-half of the steps and walkway (I noticed that some other apartments had a less coarse, rubber attachment to one side of the stairs, which I’m sure our dog would have handled easily.) That said, thank you to the owners for offering dog-friendly accommodation.
