The staff were excellent. Very proactive in addressing the questions I asked and resolving a booking issue. The hotel is just off the main areas but an easy walk to them all. It is also well-connected by public transport. The room was quiet, giving a respite from the hectic schedule. Did I mention the staff? EXCELLENT!

Location to downtown was great and bus stops out front. Several pubs and restaurants with a block. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly, didn’t try the breakfast

Very nice accommodations for a budget hotel. The #16 bus will take you from the airport directly to the front door which was perfect & easy for a late night arrival. The property was very clean and elegant for the star level. The beds were comfy and the room surprisingly spacious for Europe. I had a 17 hr layover in Dublin but would stay again if I were here for longer.

Good value

Really friendly service, nice bar area, didn't have breakfast. Location was ok, easy walking access to city centre, kind of reminded me of the Ramblas. Room was small but inexpensive, view was non-existent in my basement level room and road noise was noticeable in the morning but again I wasn't paying for a penthouse. Got a random phone call at 0445, no idea what that was but I jumped out of my skin. Bed was fine. Big towels were outside the bathroom so I didn't find them when I got out of the shower, not a major thing but look for them first :)

This is a great spot in Dublin! Easy to walk to tourist locations all over the city. Comfy beds, clean, and really nice staff. Booked us a taxi for early morning and it was there 15 min early! Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, the St George didn't quite meet my average expectations for hotels. Some of that is due to it being such an historical property, one that has not been continually updated for some conveniences. Cons The window allowed rainwater in the bottom (This is not an issue that I reported as it seemed an ongoing matter and that part of the blame for the inconvenience rests with me). A request for towels at the front desk was never fulfilled or followed-up on (I was using towels to handle the rain water leak).There was no mini-fridge, which was a bummer (that I maybe could have read about prior to booking). One day lacked any cold water from morning until afternoon (can't speak to the frequency of this issue but they did send someone up quickly after my call to the desk). The room was rather musty, and Dublin's frequent rain sometimes just doesn't allow the room to be properly aired out. The wifi was very unreliable. Pros The staff were very nice. It felt perfectly secure. The location is excellent, close enough to walk but far enough that you're not overwhelmed by people on the street or noise.
