Fantastic hotel with very pleasant atmosphere. Room was on the smaller side but very comfortable and had everything we needed except wash cloths (which don’t seem to be common in Ireland). Would stay again.

5 Stars – Urban Cool with a Heart of Gold (and a Touch of Kin Magic) As big fans of Kin, staying at The Mayson felt like stepping right into the show. There’s something so cinematic about the place – moody lighting, bold character, and knowing you’re walking in the footsteps of the cast? Very cool. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was next level. A couple of complimentary glasses of bubbles and a beautifully personal card to mark our anniversary – pure class. It’s those little touches that make a stay unforgettable. The vibe throughout is effortlessly cool – industrial-chic meets warm Irish soul. Exposed brick, lush textures, curated playlists, and that unmistakable Docklands energy. Our room had real personality, with a seriously comfy bed, rainfall shower, and great views over the city. Breakfast at Ryleigh’s was a highlight – top floor views and food that hits the spot. The Works and the Eggs Benedict were absolute winners. Later, we had dinner at Elephant & Castle downstairs – excellent food and even better drinks. Stylish but totally unpretentious. The Mayson isn’t just a hotel – it’s an experience. Whether you’re in town for music, a bit of luxury, or just living your Kin fantasy – this place nails it. Already planning the sequel.

All fur coat and no knickers, The hotel offers a superficial experience. The "cozy" room is very small and cramped, making it unsuitable for two guests, with one side of the bed pressed against a window. It seems designed to cram as many rooms per floor as possible, sacrificing guest comfort. Storage is minimal, limited to a few hooks, so you'll likely live out of a bag. The bathroom is tiny, but the shower is powerful and enjoyable. A hot breakfast was served cold and incomplete twice on replacement was missing items again, regretfully had to complain, me and my partner didn't risk ordering again and ate out for the rest of our trip. This was such a shame as the restaurant feel premium but lacking on attention to basic detail. The hotel decor is stylish and trendy, and the hotel has a well-equipped gym, small pool, sauna, downstairs bar, and steam room. The coffee bar at the front is great, and the staff there are friendly, which was a bright spot and saved the experience from being a complete disappointment. Overall, I wouldn’t stay again, as despite its good amenities and design, the experience fell short and felt lacking a genuine touch. It has potential to be great but currently isn’t hitting it's mark. Hotel is around a 10 - 15 minute walk or a short bus ride away from the centre of Dublin. Bus' only take coins so please be aware. I hate to write what feels like a bad review but can only go on our exprience. Hope this helps others before booking.

First time staying here and we loved it. The location is in the financial district so it's on the outskirts but it's a short walk into busier areas with bars and restaurants. We ate on the rooftop and the food was delicious, and also had a cocktail at the downstairs bar as well. The room was small but perfect for what we needed and everything in it was top of the range from the Smeg fridge to the Dyson hairdryer. Loved it and will definitely be back!

Terrible stay, we had one night away myself and my husband without our baby, we were really looking forward to relaxing the two of us. We booked our stay through Expedia we paid 234€ for the room and was then told on arrival we needed to pay €50 hold fee which we were unaware off, but that was fine. The room was nice but my god the noise from the room was absolutely ridiculous!!! We stayed in room 101 which was over the bar, and the noise was just constant! On Expedia it mentions the rooms were sound proofed which is absolute rubbish, we could hear doors banging in the hall way every 5 minutes, and guests talking in the room next to us talk all night, I complained to a member of staff on check out, and to put it nicely she couldn’t of given a rats arse!! Absolutely nothing was said!! Not only was there noise from the bar etc but we mentioned to her politely that they could do with a plumber because to add to everything else the pump on the toilet ran allllll night!!! On check out we told the lady on reception we had taken two bottles of beer from the mini bar which came to a total on €12 and agreed she could take payment out of the holding fee of €50 which we are still waiting of the remaining to be refunded to us, around 8pm yesterday after checking out at 11.00am an additional payment of 48€ was taken from my card, I rang the hotel to enquire and she told me that they charged myself and my husband for a bottle of white wine that was taken from the mini bar (which by the way

Out of everywhere we could’ve chose to stay in Dublin, I’m so so thankful we ended up at The Mayson. It was everything we needed for a long weekend in Ireland. The restaurant below was delicious & the bartenders next door knew what was up. We had such a memorable time, & everyone here combined with the atmosphere made our time away from home even more enjoyable!

Average

Room was absolutely tiny and could have been cleaned better, dirty tea cup, dirt under the bed and hand print on bathroom door. Nothing major, just a bit careless. For the price, I expect more. We did get vouchers for some bubbly to celebrate a birthday which was thoughtful. Rooftop bar closed when we returned and hoped to enjoy at nightcap at 11.30pm so that was a pity. Comfy bed. Noisy works outside but beyond hotel’s control. Nice little pool. Checkout slow and other guests skipping queue to get away faster. Online checkout or swift checkout (drop keycard and go) would be a good idea.
