This hotel should not be rated more than two stars. The gym is extremely small, with only two machines that make it difficult to get a proper workout. The pool is covered, creating a closed and uninviting atmosphere, and the “spa” is limited to a sauna that was not functioning well during my stay. During my visit, I had an uncomfortable experience returning late at night when a person in the hallway approached me with inappropriate comments. I also found that smoking was common in several areas, which affected the air quality. Noise was a constant issue, with music playing late into the night and strong food smells coming from the restaurant directly below the rooms. These problems were disruptive enough that I decided to leave earlier than planned. Overall, I did not feel safe or comfortable at this property, and the amenities did not match the quality I expected. I would not return.

From the moment we arrived at the Corinthia Grand Hotel the experience felt effortless. The reception staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and were always ready to assist with any request, while the doorman's ever present smile set a cheerful tone each time we entered or left the hotel. Check- in was smooth and efficient, and our room proved a perfect retreat-spotlessly clean, with a luxuriously comfortable bed and a well stocked, thoughtfully designed bathroom. The restaurant team's friendly and attentive service made every meal a pleasure and breakfast was a particular highlight offering an impressive variety of fresh, high quality options to suit every palate. The Corinthia blends comfort, elegance and heartfelt hospitality into a stay that's as memorable as the city itself.

A beautiful hotel with exceptional staff. Only concern was the pool use unfortunately wasn’t included in our booking so would have cost an extra 30 euros a day to use (spa use too). Definitely recommend checking if book as a package like we did. House keeping, reception staff, evening bar staff and door staff are a credit to the hotel. We needed the maintenance teams support during our stay and an issue (our fault) was solved in literally ten minutes which we were extremely grateful for. Very good location for walking to key attractions.

Pros: Eye-wateringly beautiful architecture with well-appointed rooms and fitness spa areas. The breakfast seating area was incredible, featuring a massive skylight in the 5-storey atrium. The doormen, bellboys and check-in staff were wonderful, helpful and always smiling. Cons: My room was definitely showing its age, the decor is timeless but lots of scuffs, dings and loose parts. Concierge staff (except for one who was lovely) were incredibly standoffish - rarely smiling, sometimes rolling their eyes and always appearing annoyed when I was asking for their help.

The property looks nice but is outdated. The carpets are old and dirty. The desk and the bathroom had food stains and dirt on them. It looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time. Good point: clean beds. Overall ok but nothing special. Old, needs upkeeping and better cleaning staff.

Exceeded Expectations – A Truly Memorable Stay We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel—it exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed, with a number of unexpected touches that made our stay extra comfortable. For example, the in-room washing machine was a fantastic surprise and came in handy, even though it wasn’t listed in the amenities. The breakfast was outstanding—truly one of the best I’ve ever encountered. The variety and quality of options were exceptional, and it was clear a lot of care goes into creating such a generous spread. What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the access to the executive lounge. The gentleman who managed the lounge was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs. His hospitality was unmatched and genuinely elevated our experience. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to consider updating the mattresses in the near future. They weren’t bad, but a refresh might enhance the overall comfort. We would absolutely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to others looking for a top-tier experience.
