A clean room is the most important factor. However, staying in Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh was totally the opposite. I arrived late at night and when I entered the bathroom, there were some brown spots on the sink. I thought they were maybe a ceramic so I decided to wipe them to check and they were gone. In the shower box which I have not used it yet, there was a hair. I informed the room service in the morning about both, and she said she will manage this. I also informed the reception about it. Unfortunately, I came back later to take a shower and the hair was there. I informed the reception in the next morning that there is an issue with the cleanse and I want all the bed sheets to be changed as I could not feel clean. She said that she will process that. Again, nothing done. I called the reception to complain. Finally guys showed up and managed the room. I stayed in this hotel for 9 days and the sheets were never changed after this.
The second incident was that a room service guy in the morning knocked the door to do the regular service and I asked him to clean the room after half an hour. When I came back to the hotel, I went first to the reception to ask for a parcel. When finally the parcel was found, the seal was broken. Someone attempted to open the parcel. I took it and went to room. Surprisingly, the room was not serviced. I called the reception to complain. The answer was that I requested to not clean the room even though I asked the guy to come in 30 mins.
