Muirfield Green is a newly renovated 4 bedroomed house steps away from Muirfield golf course home to The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers.
Located at the end of a private road, the house offers spacious and luxurious accommodation for up to 8 guests.
The house is orientated round a central courtyard garden, where dining and cocktails can be enjoyed throughout the day in the sunshine.
The house is designed for entertaining, at the heart of it is the large light filled, fully equipped kitchen with a huge breakfast island, it has a walk-in larder with another fridge and freezer, double doors open onto a gravelled courtyard where breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed. The kitchen has every bit of equipment that you might need.
The dining room has a table that seats 8 guests comfortably and is just off the kitchen. Double folding doors open into the house's main reception room making this a great space to enjoy with your fellow guests.
The main reception room is hugely spacious and has double height ceilings plus floor to ceiling glass windows and doors with views into the garden. Here is where guests can enjoy the log burning stove in the cooler months or throw the doors open and have the garden courtyard a step away in the summer.
Off the hall is the games room again with access into the garden, this well thought out room has seating to enjoy the fire at one end with a TV above the fireplace, a pool table in the middle and at the other end the greatly appreciated house bar is located with an ice machine and undercounter fridge.
Off the games room through a small hall are the first of the two bedroom suites. The first has a walk-in wardrobe. A large sun filled room with views over the garden. It has a spacious bathroom with double sinks and a large shower.
Next door is Bedroom two with fitted wardrobes, it has views to the front and side of the house, the roomy bathroom has a free-standing bath and shower.
Off the main reception room are two more bedrooms and a TV room.
Bedroom 3 is a spacious room with fitted wardrobes and views over the courtyard garden.
The bathroom has a free-standing bath and large walk-in shower, with double sinks.
Between bedrooms 3 and 4 is the TV room, where you can enjoy a film nestled in either the huge bean bags, or lounge on the sofa. The cupboards here also house all the board games and card sets for your enjoyment.
Bedroom 4 - overlooks the gravel courtyard, tucked away, it again has fitted wardrobes, and a large walk-in shower room with double sinks.
All bedrooms have zip and link beds that can either be super king-size doubles or 2 single beds.
Our beautiful bed linens and cosy luxury woollen throws are from The White Company.
All wardrobes have hair dryers, ample amounts of hangers and are fitted with room safes for valuables.
The bathrooms are the height of luxury - with stone countertops and tiles, White Company towels, heated towel rails, bathrobes and Laura Thomas Co toiletries throughout.
In addition, we have a cloakroom off the hall and a separate powder room.
In the hall there is a cupboard that stores beach towels and picnic blankets for your use during your stay. Across the garden is a small yoga studio with mats and a blue tooth speaker.
Off the kitchen is the golf locker room, which has direct outside access to the parking area at the front of the house. Any golfer will appreciate this space, with golf bag storage, ample hanging space and a fast-drying system for wet clothes. A bench is also placed here to allow you to sit and put your golf shoes on before leaving for the course.
Our utility room houses both a commercial washing machine and tumble dryer. Ironing board and iron. Plus, any cleaning equipment that you might need during your stay.
In addition, we have a garden to the front of the house laid to gravel, here you will find the log store.
Car parking is also at the front of the house and there is enough space for 3 cars. Please do not park on the side of the road - this is a private road, however, access to the club for both deliveries and golfers is imperative. Note: There is a Good Housekeeping Bond of £1,000 that should be paid 2 weeks prior to your arrival.
The village of Gullane Is famous for its golf courses. Four in total within the parish. Gullane I, II, and III plus Luffness and of course Muirfield.
To the north of the village are the famous Gullane Bents and beach - a vast sandy bay - perfect for swimming and with endless walks in the dunes and over Gullane Hill.
The village offers great places to eat within walking distance of the house, two general stores, an ATM in the Coop, a pharmacy and coffee shops.
Less than 10 mins drive is the railway station in Drem, from here its 20 mins into the centre of Edinburgh.
North Berwick is less than 10 mins drive, a beautiful seaside town, with ancient harbour, boat trips, Scottish Seabird Centre plus again two great golf courses, The Glen and the famous North Berwick West.
