Our stay was very nice. The location was beautiful. There was even a farmer's market taking place on Saturday morning right behind the hotel near the river side.

The room was very clean and large. Room amenities were just right. Staff were very friendly and the included breakfast buffet was good, much better than a simple continental breakfast. I have 2 complaints: 1) the walls were very thin, I could hear people talking in the hallway very readily. 2) there was a deep consistent humming noise all night. It may have been a motor running next door or 2 doors down. Not sure what it was but definitely caused issues at sleep time.

No one informed us that the elevator was not working! We were placed on the third floor and had to drag our luggage up 3 flights of stairs! Come to find out the elevator has been out of service for over 4 months! If you booked through the hotel directly they informed you on their website but no one let Expedia know so unless you are fit as a fiddle get ready for a workout every time you come and go from your room. Shame on Holiday Inn Express for not informing Expedia but I guess it's all about $$$$ for all parties involved. Bottom line is before you make a reservation on Expedia contact the hotel directly to find out if the elevator is working or not. After contacting Expedia about this problem they did give us 100.00 credit and we are thankful for that.

Bed were too firm, really uncomfortable especially after a 2 night stay. Elevators were not working and apparently per staff they have not been for 3 months now and we had to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. The tv kept changing channels itself, many channels not working.
