good hotel in the outskirts. Must have car.

Good hotel. Far from center. Good if u have a car. The entry to the hotel is on the right side of the shopping complex. GPS Can miss it but when at the shopping complex go to the right side. Guy at reception is Nice but reception closes at 8 pm and and open at 10 am. Room ok. Nothing fancy. I would stay again. Worth for the money. Next morning i left at 9.58 am . Reception wasnt open. Dont know if the come sharp at 10 am. Good hotel. Car parking free in front of the hotel. The reception Will give u a paper which needs to be displayed in the car for the cops or whoever who comes to make money out of our parking .

Near Old Town Bamberg

The hotel was in a business district. It looked suspicious at first, but had its own entrance. The lobby was nice as was the room. There is a bus that takes you to old town Bamberg across the street. Breakfast was Great!!!

Bamberg Bust

This hotel has a lot of problems. It is 1-2 miles from Stadt Mitte and if you don’t have a car that is a problem. Then there are little or no nearby restaurants, so we were stuck eating 2 nights at the adjoining bowling alley! Our room had no air conditioning, no coffee or bathroom amenities. We found the staff to be unfriendly / unhelpful as we had to ask for a town map, they offered no assistance, they avoided eye contact when we passed by. The shower didn’t even have a shelf or ledge for soap or shampoo .. and this hotel was NOT inexpensive!!! Avoid this hotel!

worst experience

No staff in reception after 5:30 pm. We arrived at 9 pm, doors were closed, elevator was not working (room on the 4th floor), we booked double room, got single room. We were refused a refund, staff told us that because we booked through Orbitz, they should take care about refund. Carpet was dirty, hairs in the bathroom. That so-called hotel is in the same building with a bowling and a grocery store. Does not deserve 3 star rating by no means.

comfortable stay for a day

The hotel was located right off the motorway. The buses that go into town have bus stops a minutes walk away, quite convenient. Hotel is in a building with a bowling alley, and right next to a supermarket. Staff was quite friendly and helpful, although we did have to go over to the bowling alley to order food. Sunset views were stunning though, since the hotel overlooks the autobahn.

decent hotel for price

This is a decent hotel. It is attached to a bowling alley and small shopping center which can be a good thing or a bad thing. You can't hear the bowling alley in your room, just kinda odd walking up the stairs and seeing people bowl. Nothing really fancy here, just a normal room for the night with few frills.

Good value, but inconvenient location

Center Hotel Main Franken is reasonably priced, and has a convenient three-hour breakfast buffet every morning. There's also a restaurant/bowling alley on the main floor which you may find useful if it happens to rain all day during your stay, as happened to me. The service is friendly and multilingual, although I didn't make many requests of them, so I really can't evaluate them fully. The chief drawback to staying at this hotel is that it is located on completely the opposite side of town from all of the historical and cultural sites that you probably came to see. Be prepared to spend fifteen to twenty Euro a day on cab fare.

located in an industrial area of the suburbs

Hotel was part of a shopping centre next to a bowling alley and looked like an industrial building. Could easily be missed if you didn't see the name. The room was utilitarian and felt cheap. Otherwise the breakfast was good and the room was quiet. The charge for the internet was expensive and unnecessary for the overall price of the room.

Good room but could have been better

The room was musty and walking up the hallway there was a smell of a dead mouse. Room was clean but there was a definite musty smell in the bathroom like it hadn't been aired out for quite awhile. Great breakfast and located in a convenient place. Quiet room and fan provided in the room made it a comfortable night sleep.

this is a typical German City hotel in the large family with basic small rooms but most amenities are close by.....the bar/ lounge was a bit drab however bowling alley attached seemed comfortable enough to have a drink and a bite to eat. It's on a main road so expect a little traffic noise.

Great Hotel

Very helpful ....I was arriving late and they made plans for me to get the key. They spoke great english and were very helpful. Free Parking was great. I have a big truck and was able to park for free with no problem at all. Very nice rooms.
