Rooms have Big windows facing the mountains on one side (for the northern lights) or ocean view on the other side - makes both sides winners! Hiking trail to baby waterfall next to property also a highlight. Sauna and hot tub are lovely bonuses. Bfast food was excellent. Restaurant Staff was understanding when i complained about the salty soup and argued for the refund that the waiter said that Icelandics don’t do, apparently.

Great hotel on the Ring Road

Great stay at this popular hotel. We used their Northern Lights wake-up call service which was very helpful. We saw the lights without having to stay up for hours waiting. Breakfast was amazing!

Wow! What an amazing stay from start to finish. We got the #VIPACCESSEG so a free upgrade to an ocean view room where we saw the northern lights perfectly from the window while INSIDE our room! It was epic! The staff were all kind, on top of it and informative. They went the extra step for us. The hot tub and sauna with relaxation area was a huge plus for us to relax after long days hiking or exploring. The lobby is actually one you want to hang out in and there are tons of spots to hang out or relax. Just absolutely wonderful! Beds were great too!

We loved our stay at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon! The building is beautiful and very modern. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. I also noticed a very pleasant smell when I came in the room! We really enjoyed the hot tubs and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Just ok.

Hotel was nice, but definitely some downfalls. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing, but the snack menu at the bar - food was awful. In general the food and drinks were extremely overpriced. The negatives: tiny beds (hard for 2 people to sleep comfortably), and the service (except the restaurant). NO automatic room cleanings unless you request it by 10am. Really? Called down for extra coffee pods since our room hadn’t been cleaned and they told me to go down to reception to get it. Not acceptable hotel service.

Gorgeous hotel with a view. The amenities and dining experience was of a 5-star caliber and the service was impeccable. Our favorite lodging experience during our road trip through Iceland. Would recommend to anyone!

I loved this hotel. It is lovely, modern and chic. The restaurant food and service were impeccable. We were very central to all that Skaftafell and Glacier Lagoon have to offer. I highly recommend it.
