The room was is bad need of updating. Lots of chipped paint, holes in carpet, rusty vents, etc. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

Fantastic location, great facilities in the room. Comfortable bed and lounge. A few problems but overall good accommodation. Main problems related to overall cleanliness wasn’t great especially the bathroom. No coffee pods although coffee machine??

Great property awesome location. Shared kitchen, bathrooms etc but that was fine. These facilities were clean. Beds good. Perhaps could do with extra power points. Had to buy extension cord fir Cpap machine but that's ok. Felt safe wandering around at 2am in the morning, starwatching. Nice & warm

What a disgrace of a business!! Upon arrival, we couldn't get anyone to answer the door. I saw a notice on one of the doors that said call this number for assistance, so did that, and it went to voicemail. We were outside in -3 deg weather for 3 quarters of an hour trying to get in. Staff were not hospitable at all, acted like we were an inconvenience, and that's putting it mildly. Room was freezing cold with an ineffective wall heater that did nothing. Bed was hard as the floor, and one cotton sheet with an equally thin blanket, not appropriate for the time of the year, we had to go to bed fully clothed. Not good enough for what we paid, in fact I want a refund. The worst place I have ever stayed !

Very spacious - two bedrooms, full kitchen, and living room. Comfortable beds, quiet, and clean. Lovely restaurant was a short walk away, but not much else to do in Fairlie.

An early morning lake view changes the entire feel of a stay. The scenery from our room was absolutely incredible. Plus, the staff here are young, energetic, and genuinely friendly. We didn't get a chance to eat the included breakfast, though. We had to rush straight out the door for our activity at Mt. Cook.
