Mediocre service

The room was very clean and very nice. The building was not handicap accessible and it was an older building, so it was problematic. The biggest problem was the customer service, which was mediocre at best. Even though the hotel room was very nice, I would not recommend this place as I found the staff to be rude and dismissive.

Just ok

The luxury room we booked was nice but you have to walk up stairs no elevator for that type of room so I had to switch rooms outside same floor. Wasn’t a fan of that. And had a really bad ant problem where everyday I come back to my room in Florence they sprayed bug spray and it lingered all day and night everyday for 5 days. Room was big for the family. But I wound not come back here.

Excellent location, well appointed nice rooms and spacious, good bathroom, walkable to all key places to visit in Florence, safe. Great breakfast buffet and rooftop terrace with drinks. Great location

Great location for quick walk to all attractions and also very quiet for times of rest. The rooftop terrace is fantastic food and service for a special experience.

Average experience for a great location

The hotel is in a great location. They charged us a cash only 7 euro per person per night tourist fee. When we went to our 2nd hotel we were told the tourist fee is only 6 euro per person per night and is payable by cash or charge. The room had an "odd odor" almost like cat urine and while the ground floor was nice due to the stairs and the heat, the cleaning staff did not seem to care about guests who were staying close to their cleaning closet as they were slamming doors and supplies around at 0700. The room was extremely comfortable and the washrooms were well kept. Overall an average experience for a great location.

Although the lobby is gorgeous, it’s very confusing trying to find your room. There are staircases with very little instruction as to which way to go. The air conditioning in our room did not work the first night and it had been in the 90s during the day. It took them until 5 o’clock to fix the air conditioning the next day. Unfortunately, the other member of my party had been sick in bed all day sweltering. The location is fabulous. Breakfast was decent.

Emmanuel and Laura were so very helpful. All staff were extremely attentive to our needs. My husband is handicapped and everyone was so kind. Just be sure to leave a room key in the electric slot in the room. The air conditioning cuts off and the room gets very hot. They provided us a fan!

This is a beautiful small-ish hotel just below the Ponte Vecchio. Our room was very comfortable, with everything we could need for our extended stay. (Caveat for those with mobility issues: there are lots of stone steps inside and the elevator seems to stop only between floors, so stairs are inevitable.) From the hotel entrance, it is easy to walk to all the main tourist sites or enjoy a quiet stroll around the Oltrano. Try the gellateria on the hotel's first floor - exceptional!
