Awful room … the French room

The room smelt of sewage all the time , very basic facilities and a shared balcony with cleaning products on view. We changed to a hotel as the owner said he couldn’t smell it and that it wasn’t his problem. He offered a spray of deodorant to help .

Perfect location near the Duomo, and yet surprisingly quiet inside the room. Excellent communication from the owner. Felt very secure as there was keypad entry to the building, and then a further keypad to enter the rooms. Nice shower, air-conditioning, and coffee making facilities in the room. Would definitely stay here again.

Great central location right near duomo, quiet and clean. Owner took the time to make sure all was going well, giving advice on what to do. Bed could be more comfortable. Room service was mid-afternoon when we typically like to take a break from our activities. Nothing major and we adjusted to both

This property was very convenient and everything is walkable. The host was easy to contact via messenger and allowed us an extra hour at check out. We found the late check in and early checkout a bit disappointing but made it work with the extra hour.

Amazing location! So easy to walk to all of Florence’s top spots. Our room was gorgeous with an outdoor patio area. FYI - There is not lobby or official front desk staff to ask for recommendations or assistance. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

This place was a good stay. The location was wonderful and easy to get to. It was secure and clean and decorated very nicely. We did have some trouble with the doorknob to the room almost every time we used the keys to unlock it. Also sometimes, the second code we had to use to get in would not unlock the door right away and we had to do it two or three times. Also, the sink handle fell off on the bar the first time we touched it and one setting on the toilet did not work - not the end of the world tho. Overall a nice stay and I would recommend.

The location literally can't be any better.

The location literally can't be any better. The Duomo is half a dozen steps from the front door. The owners were super responsive and helpful. The little kitchen was a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

Highly Recommend

Did an overnight in Florence and loved it! Beautiful city and wonderful accommodations. Slept comfortably even on a pullout sofa bed. Pillows were a bit hard for my liking but that’s really the only thing I would complain about and it’s really not a complaint. More a preference. Thanks for the wonderful place and great communication for directions and check in. Also right in the middle of the city center and 10 minute walk to train station. Perfect!

The on line check in system didn’t work. Not getting instructions via email before arrival but WhatsApp which I don’t normally use, without prior notification. It then took us a long time to get the email response. Had to ask family member back home to get hold of Expedia to reach out to the owner. A lot of stress finding parking after not letting in the nearby garage due to check in problem and ending up dragging our luggages 15min from the further away parking spot ( charged at an hourly rate costing 3times more then it should be ). And the bed is very uncomfortable sagging in the middle of the bed. The worst experience I ever had staying at Airbnb.

The location was excellent and very close to the Duomo. We had the "french room". We liked the kitchenette stored in the armoire. It had the usual European breakfast snacks included like a small croissant and some melba toast, jam and Nutella and orange juice. Its enough to get you out the door in the morning. The bed and pillows were decent to sleep at night. Overall it was good.
